Formed in 2022, the band “Dirty Mitts” has already began making a name for themselves. Roughly a year after the band’s creation, they’re already known as one of the best raw Rock’N’Roll bands in 2023 and that is just freaking mind blowing. The band is made up of Tommy on vocals, Matt on bass, Mo on guitar and Mateusz on drums. Since they’re all from different countries, their way of music has influences from the UK, Poland and Egypt and that’s what makes them special and sets them apart from most rock’n’roll bands.
Their songs “You Better Run! (Villains Theme)”, “My Show”, “Women” and “Ball & Chain” have collectively earned over 1,000 radio plays globally and more than 300,000 streams on Spotify ONLY IN THE SPAN OF A YEAR!, and their bew EP “Hands Off” which was infact released on November 10th, is by far their best release yet which also comes with their latest song “Ride The Storm”. I have a had a glimpse of the EP and trust me you’re in for one hell of a ride.
“Ride The Storm” perfectly embodies the rock aesthetic of Dirty Mitts. From the very beginning of the song, the drums , the beats and the vocals on the song catches your attention, gets you hooked and charges you up. The lyrics of “Ride The Storm” is a cry against whatever wants to bring you down in life. The mentioning of the devil dancing at your feet in the lyrics is a metaphor for difficulties or challenges you’re facing. The lyrics talks about standing strong and being bold and strong in order to fight your way through whatever you’re going through in life and it’s lyrics like these that makes Dirty Mitts’ songs so relatable. The song really is a masterpiece, the vocals goes so well with the beats, creating an atmosphere that charges you up for more, energizing you to gear up and fight through the storm.
“Ride The Storm” is a song you can’t ignore. The drums, the vocals and the beats are just the best. While the band has already released the EP “Hands Off!”, this song just shows how good the band is at rock’n’roll and what to expect from the band moving forward.
