IamBlacktraxx’s “We Are One” Reminds Us to Breathe
IamBlacktraxx has released a new single called “We Are One”, and it arrives at a moment when everyone seems tired of arguing about something. The song came out on October 20, 2025, and it feels like a reminder to breathe, calm down, and maybe try being decent to each other for once.
The track mixes neo-soul, Caribbean groove, and smooth R&B. Nothing feels forced. Everything sits in a warm, easy pocket that makes you want to nod along without thinking too hard about it. The message is simple: we come from different places, but we’re still connected. It is the kind of idea that everyone says they believe in until someone cuts them off in traffic.

The project came together in a few different cities. Parts were recorded in the Bahamas, where IamBlacktraxx is from. Other pieces were done in Los Angeles, Detroit, and Atlanta. Instead of trying to force a single style or room sound, the team pulled from each place and let the mix build itself. Some parts have the soft feel of older gear, while others are clean and new. The blend gives the song a natural flow, like something made by people who genuinely enjoy working together.
Edward Hoyte, known as IamBlacktraxx, has been involved in music since he was a kid. He plays several instruments and has worked with major names like Pitbull, Jahlil, and Sean Kingston. He also runs Islandmindrecordings and his own company, Ehmg, where he looks for new talent. His background shows in the way We Are One is built. Every layer is placed with care, but nothing is stiff or perfect to the point of feeling cold.
A few touches stand out in the production. Some rhythm sections were played live before adding modern elements. This gives the track a steady pulse that feels human instead of mechanical. There are also small hints of island life tucked into the background. They don’t jump out, but once you notice them, they make the song feel grounded. It’s the kind of detail that gives a song personality without making a big announcement about it.
When asked what inspired the release, Hoyte talked about how divided everything feels in America right now. He said the goal was to encourage people to see each other as people again. It is a simple idea, but simple ideas often work best. One quote from him sums it up well: “We Are One was born out of moments when the world felt disconnected. I wanted to create something that reminded people that love, music, and faith still bring us together.”
There are no shows planned yet for this record. The team is still in the early stages of getting the project fully out into the world. But even without a tour, the single stands strong on its own. It feels like something made with intention, not just another release dropped into an endless stream of songs.
“We Are One” is more than a new track from a skilled producer. It is a small message wrapped in melody and rhythm. It carries pieces of soul, R&B, reggae, and island culture. It aims to reach anyone who wants music with warmth and purpose. It also shows how far Caribbean artists can push modern R&B when they lean into their roots instead of running from them.
At its core, the song reminds listeners of something most people already know but don’t always practice. We are connected whether we admit it or not. And sometimes it takes one good song to bring that idea back to the front of the mind. If you want to hear it for yourself, it’s streaming now.
