Daedric Death Summons Pure Black Metal With “Dark Templars” EP

Many artists makes song and the moment you listen to them, you just brush them off. But not this EP from Daedric Death. Their latest EP titled “Dark Templars” feels like it crawled out of an old dungeon, brushed the dust off its armor, and decided it still had something to say. The vocals, the beats and how gritty they feel makes the whole experience different. It’s like being in a horror movie where you’re the villain, smiles all through yet you know you could also get haunted.

This project comes from the mind behind Conjuro Nuclear, and you can tell right away this is not a rushed side quest. These songs have history. They sound like they’ve been sharpened over time, then sharpened again, just to be safe. The guitars bite hard, the vocals sound like they’ve seen things they can’t unsee, and the mood stays dark from start to finish.

“Dark Templars” leans into classic epic black metal without trying to reinvent the wheel. Think second-era Bathory energy, but with a modern cleanup job. The drums and bass are programmed, but they do their job well. They march, they thunder, they don’t complain. The core of the music is clearly human, even if some modern tools were used to polish it up. This does not feel cold or fake. It feels obsessed, which is honestly what you want here.

Tracks like Magnicide and Dark Templars hit with raw force, while Into the Darkness and Stealing Stars slow things down just enough to let the atmosphere sink in. Truth Is Over Rated sounds like a mission statement, and Dark God’s closes things out like a final torch going out in a ruined hall.

The fantasy theme runs deep. Corpse paint, warrior kings, impossible landscapes. It is all very serious, but in a fun way. This is the kind of EP that does not ask for mainstream approval. It just exists, sharp and stubborn. Dark Templars is not trying to be trendy. It is trying to be honest. And sometimes, that hits harder than anything new.
