“Four Walls” by Tony Frissore Feels Like Life on the Road
I wonder how people do it constantly, but being alone is tiring, even if it’s for a while. Then imagine being at a new place trying to figure things out and you’re all by yourself. Yes you wanted that new environment, but ever feel like you’ve spent way too much time staring at the ceiling of a hotel room? Well I think Tony Frissore definitely has. Cos he just dropped a new single called “Four Walls,” and it’s the perfect anthem for anyone who has ever felt a little lonely while traveling.

This was the last of seven songs Tony put together while he was on the road in 2025. It makes sense—after moving around that much, you probably start talking to the wallpaper. Tony isn’t some amateur, though. The guy has studied in Boston and New Orleans, and he’s played all over Europe. You’ve likely heard his stuff in the background of shows on MTV or HGTV while you were folding laundry.
“Four Walls” is a total shift from his usual funk and jazz stuff. It’s a very chill, electronic track that doesn’t try too hard. The track starts curiously with this electronic note that keeps inviting the listener and drawing them in. I love how there are no loud, aggressive beats here. Instead, you get a slow tempo and a really smooth saxophone that makes the whole thing feel like a late-night drive when the roads are empty. Yet it’s a danceable track that doesn’t make you sweaty, it’s smooth and gives a calm edge whilst you beat your dashboard and flow with the beats.
The song is all about that weird feeling of being in a new city but still feeling stuck inside your own mind. It’s quiet, a little bit moody, and very relaxing. If you like lo-fi beats or music that actually lets you think, this is a great pick.
Tony has been on a roll lately, releasing singles left and right, but “Four Walls” feels like the one where he finally took a deep breath and slowed down. It’s a solid reminder that even if you’re miles away from home, you’re still you.
Overall “Four Walls” is a great track for your “quiet time” playlist or just for those nights when you can’t sleep. Definitely give it a spin if you need to turn the world down for a few minutes.
