The Rising Shine Project Delivers Pure Heartbreak on “Heals All Wounds”
I really have a question, is it the kind of world we live in these days? Or it’s just we humans making things difficult? I don’t know but it seems we have all we need but mostly we are sad or dealing with a lot of addictions. Well I think we’ve all been there—listening to a song that hits so close to home you have to pull the car over for a second, cry a bit, reflect on it and move on to drive home! But “Heals All Wounds” by The Rising Shine Project isn’t just a sad song. It is a punch to the gut that somehow leaves you feeling a little less alone.

Henry Stoll, the man behind the project in Lawrenceville, PA, has been playing live for forty years, but he has released a track that feels different. It’s an emotionally raw tribute to his son, who he tragically lost to a fentanyl overdose just before his 25th birthday. I can’t imagine how painful that would be, but as a father and grandfather, The Rising Shine Project didn’t just write a song; he stripped his body and bared his entire soul to try and stop the same thing from happening to someone else’s family.
The results is this song and you can see the story behind it is wild already! Henry actually came up with the lyrics while driving to work. He thought of the line, “What good’s a house of dreams, with all the windows broken?” and then, in a crazy coincidence, a coworker told him a story about a literal house with broken windows that same day. He took it as a sign from above and finished the track immediately. And sometimes that’s how nature works, it sends a message and you’ve to act on it.
Now here is how things get beautiful. You know sometimes the emotional weight of such tragedies is too much to bare that one can’t even speak on them. So what he did was he used AI technology for the vocal and instrumental arrangements. Why? Because the song is so personal and the pain is so fresh that he literally couldn’t sing it himself without breaking down.
I mean, I would do same too, cos sometimes you might end up following suit trying to suck it all up while telling the story! And I wouldn’t even wish this on my worst enemy. It’s a pretty smart use of modern tools to get a message out that is otherwise too heavy to carry. He believes that a “real” song comes from a real place, regardless of the tools used, and honestly, when you hear the emotion in these lyrics, it’s hard to disagree.
The moment you release that play button, you’re met with a heavy mix of profound sadness and a bit of righteous anger. It’s got that honest, transparent feel you might get from artists like Justin Furstenfeld. It doesn’t hide behind big metaphors; it talks about the daughter left behind and the promises that went unspoken. So now imagine how that daughter will feel, growing up without a father and knowing how his dad passed away! Man that’s too much of grief and pain, how is the grandfather going to tell the daughter the truth?
The thing is, it took The Rising Shine Project weeks just to be able to listen to the finished version without crying. But the reaction from people who have heard it has been huge. In a world where so many families are dealing with addiction, this song acts like a mirror. It’s not just Henry’s story anymore—it becomes the story of anyone who has ever lost someone too soon.
It’s a song that stings you right in the heart and doesn’t pull any punches and tells a story that actually matters. These days people do lot of stuffs, so do check on your peeps and make sure everyone’s good, life can be cruel and sometimes we all have to be on the watch! It’s brave, it’s heartbreaking, and it’s very touching.
