Since birth, people have been living their life in the shadows of others. They can’t live the life they want, when in reality everyone’s free to do whatever they want. And when they finally clock it that they’ve gotta live for themselves, the journey begins and they start reconnecting with themselves more and more. It’s crazy but that what happens when you spend Soo much time running around doing what people want you to do, instead of living the way you want to. What can I say? It happens to the best of us. You wake up one day, look around, and realize you need to press pause, wipe the slate clean, and figure out what actually makes your heart beat fast again. That exact feeling of discovery and emotional freedom runs all through “RECONNECTED”, the massive fourteen-track album from New Jersey singer-songwriter Dorian.

The album which is built on soul roots while playing around with energetic dance rhythms, pop hooks, and colorful electronic grooves, feels like a breath of fresh air.  When you listen to “RECONNECTED“, you get in tuned with yourself soo much, and that’s thanks to its fearless and vibrant nature. Many people would have opted for the safest option and stayed in a single box, but Dorian plays with contrasting moods and styles that brings a variety we lack these days. The production keeps things colorful, layering warm synth chords, crisp drum patterns, and deep basslines around his rich, soulful vocals.

The beats hit with plenty of bounce, but the vocal arrangements keep the emotional core alive and through the whole listening session. One thing that makes me love this album is how every track on this fourteen-song journey explores love, self-discovery, and finding your way back to what matters most.

The album embraces is with the “INTRO”, which does well in welcoming us with a smooth, atmospheric setting, laying down the mood for the rest of the album to follow. You get soft synth pads and gentle vocal tones building up a dreamy mood, giving you a quick moment to catch your breath before the journey really kicks off. “US 4EVER” sweeps in with with a warm, soul-infused groove and steady rhythm that immediately gets you hooked. It’s got this sweet R&B groove that sticks and makes you wanna repeat it all day. The track dives into ride-or-die loyalty, focusing on building a deep connection with someone who stays in your corner through every up and down.

“BAECATION!” brings bright, tropical energy and a playful drum beat that instantly feels like summer. It’s all about escaping the daily grind, packing a bag, and getting away with your favorite person to recharge. Sometimes you need that break, grind your ass all day, all month, all year without breaks and you will end up where you shouldn’t be. So take some time off, chill and have fun with that special someone. On “WHEN YOU’RE WITH ME“, we get smooth, mid-tempo track packed with sweet melodies and rich basslines. The lyrics focus on how the right person can instantly turn a bad day around and make everything feel easy and safe. And I kinda agree, nothing beats that moment of returning home to a sweet loving partner welcoming you with a big hug, it lifts off some of the stress and calms you!

Look at us, everyone wants a specific kind of love, that where everything they want just comes through and that’s what this track “#DREAMLOVE” brings. With its catchy pop hooks and shimmering electronic chords, this song explores the search for a picture-perfect romance. It carries a fun, hopeful message about holding out for the kind of love you usually only see in movies. The mood shifts on “WAKE ME” into something deeper and more emotional here. Soft keyboards and a gentle drum beat support vulnerability-filled vocals about waking up from bad habits and realizing you are ready for real change. And everyone needs that, we need that reality check and make things right.

Then comes one of my favorite track on the album, the song “OOO”. This track was covered fully on here, if y’all remember, it’s this playful, bouncy track driven by sharp synth lines and an infectious rhythm that grabs your attention and captures that sudden, heart-fluttering excitement when you catch feelings for someone and cannot get them out of your head. The track is really a vibe, the bouncy beats, the infectious energy, man it’s just ridiculously amazing.

“GO!!” kicks the energy up with a driving dance beat and heavy bass. It delivers a high-powered message about letting go of overthinking, taking big risks, and running straight toward your dreams. Then “LAST GOODBYE” turns the tempo down, and sweeps in with its bittersweet, soulful atmosphere that deals with closing painful chapters. Backed by steady drums and moody keyboard chords, the song reminds us that saying goodbye to the wrong things is the only way to make room for good stuff to enter.

With “FRESH START” picking up right where the last track left off, this song brings an uplifting rhythm and bright synth fills. It ask us focuses on dusting ourselves off, forgiving yourself for past mistakes, and starting over with a clear mind. The title track “RECONNECTED” barges in with an infectious energetic dance beat and soaring vocal lines, this song captures the pure joy of finding your way back to someone you love, as well as finding your own inner spark again. Many of us have lost that inner spark, so what can we give others when we don’t even have it?

We kiss goodbye to such a beautiful journey with the “OUTRO”. The album closes on a quiet, reflective note. Soft synth tones gently fade out, leaving you with a lingering sense of relief, gratitude, and closure after a big emotional ride. Dorian ma dude, you’ve given us a bright, deeply personal winner with “RECONNECTED“. It’s an energetic, genre-blending album that feels completely honest, ridiculously catchy, and packed with real heart.
