It’s crazy how i always have a new favorite everyday in every week. Wow see I’ve been listening to lots of rock bands and these guys blew me away with their new song “Red Balloons“. “Mumbo” is an alternative rock band with the members coming from different parts of the world. They don’t just make music but rather their song is an embodiment of the band’s evolution towards making their unique style , referred to as ‘mUmbo music.’ Whew With electric and acoustic guitars, bass, viola, violin, and percussion, the members with their talents contribute to create a new and an amazing sound like no other which you would love to hear.
Well “Red Balloons” is a track about having hope and not giving up despite the challenges and setbacks encountered in life, it’s not easy when going through difficulties and keeping your shii together. The lyrics in full tell us an interesting story of enduring through struggle and challenges symbolized by the red balloons. Moving on it talks more about the need to keep moving forward and why you should never give up. See guys this Emma Semple vocals are unmatched and add an extra emotional depth to the song which makes it very relatable and very enjoying.
You know one thing, the band’s influences including soft rock, dream pop, indie folk, blues rock, and jazz, shines through in “Red Balloons.” While enjoying the song you can sense hints of bands like Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Goldfrapp, and various other various big artists in their music. You can’t tell me this song didn’t come at the right time, cos “Red Balloons” comes after a string of successful releases that has quickly raised the band’s profile internationally. Their music have received radio plays across various countries and it’s evident that how they create their song and adds their unique sound and storytelling makes it nice to connect with audiences worldwide. Without doubt their music videos, collaborations and a rapidly growing fan base tells us that mUmbo is undoubtedly making their mark in the alternative rock genre.
