Not many songs, albums and EPs turns out great and bangs straight up but today I’m here to introduce to you and EP that’s beautiful and actually slaps from the camp of MARQELECTRONICA. He titled this one “Apoidiea” EP. The EP which marks his first release with Buzzin Records Ltd is a three track EP that’s gonna blow you away at first listen. Now lemme break the tracks to you, the EP comes with two disco house bangers that blend modern sounds with powerful vocals to deliver an uplifting experience. See the crazy aspect is aside those banging vibrant crazy beats, all the tracks on this EP comes with a special message which either talks about corruption, global warming, and the comforting support of a loved one during difficult times. Haha I can see you’re already thirsty and want to milk this EP dry, but you know what just relax relax and keep going and be ready to vibe with the EP.
Now here’s the catch “Apoidea” isn’t just any EP tho, it’s a beautiful love gesture to our lovely planet and MARQ’s partner. Man when you listen to the tracks and those deep lyrics you’d wish to be MARQ’S partner. My goodness regardless of the serious themes this EP carries, the music remains uplifting, and how he infused thumping dance beats with those soaring vocals along with elements like house piano and funky bass is magical, man sh** is brazzy and has those party dance vibe too. Okay okay now lemme glide you through the tracks.
Setting the EP on flames is the secret letter to a love one, “Lifting My Soul”. This is a song that starts of right with some electronic tunes that prepares you for the fire that’s coming and then kicks in the beats that takes the whole track to a new level and upbeat. The song talks about how much of importance it is to get the support of your lover, the lyircs paints clear picture of how sometimes we feel low, moments where we feel hopeless and feel like giving up then you have this energy from you lover, they become your strength and lift you up and take you higher making us feel hopeful and strong again. You could hear the repeat of “you lifting my soul”, stressing how important the support of love ones can be. This is a right track to set the EP on fire and gets the listener hooked and glued to keep listening to the rest of the tracks.
Now continuing from here track 1 left off is the next track,”Is This What You Wanted.” This song kicks in hot, straight to action no romance haha, and oh man I love those high tempo party beats, it’s crazy and keeps me dancing and thumping ma feets, the song keeps asking, is this what we wanted? Cos it’s what we’ve got. The track comes with this electro-pop vibe, and questions and challenges the actions of the UK government.
Ending the EP in style is this beautiful track “World Keeps Turning”. The song talks about how we have neglected the planet to pollution and other environmental issues. We ought to do better and push for change cos this is not how our planet looked like, everything is changing and nobody’s seeing it. We just watching and doing whatever that pleases us. Let’s us do better and protect our planet, man those beats in there are crazy and brazzy 🔥🔥. And this EP, I salute, top top top tier stuff. The whole EP was produced by MARQ and mixed/mastered by Harbourmaster Productions. “Apoidiea” is a masterpiece and a boss of an EP, man the best I have jammed to this week and I love it.
