BRYANNA RAIN’S “PETRICHOR” ALBUM IS A MUSICAL REVELATION THAT SOOTHES THE SOUL
3 min readWhen I say someone’s back then indeed they are back with just bangers in town and yes SHE’S BACK!!!, popular indie pop artist Bryanna Rain is back again with another album that fans have been dying for. Her new album titled “Petrichor”, promises to leave listeners in awe. Packed with 15 tracks, this album is just music at it’s peak. If this is your first time hearing about Bryanna Rain then prepare to fall in love with her music on first listen. As i mentioned earlier, the album has 15tracks on it in total but I’m gonna give you a glimpse into 3 of them that i fell in love with on first listen.
Let’s begin with the track “Blaming Simar” which is actually the 6th track on the album. The song begins with beats that calms your heart and opens your mind for what’s to come next. The song talks about pain and self-reflection. The feeling after being through enough pain, to look at yourself and see how that pain has affected and taken Soo much from you, sometimes makes you wonder how things could’ve been. The lyrics, the vocals and timing of the delivery of the lyrics to the beats is just on point and it perfectly sends it’s message clearly.
Another song that got me hooked is “Ghost baby (Autumna)”, the 9th song on the album. The song is a combination of pop and electronic music. The song’s message is about saying goodbye and it also talks about the presence of a ghost and Bryanna Rain beautifully sends this message with beats and lyrics that’s easy to understand and relate to. Goodbyes are indeed the saddest word to ever hear. Sometimes we never wanna say goodbye but what can we do? This is really an emotional song that’s Soo beautiful. Make your goodbyes count! Persona favorite this one, gives me hope that goodbyes doesn’t mean last of it.
And the last on my list is “Satellite Piano.” This song talks about blame, dreams and admiring the moon at night. The beats of the song are like magic, they’ll have you calm and laid back listening to the song like you have nothing else to do. Those moments under the moon, talking and bring with loved ones while sharing your dreams. This song is special, run go give this whole album a listen and trust there ain’t going back from it.
In Bryanna Rain’s own words, “Petrichor is that sweet smell after a rainfall.” This shows the album is like a fresh start and a beautiful one at that too. “Petrichor” is most definitely what you need, something to calm your mind, heart and soul. Bryanna Rain has shown just the tip of what she’s really capable of with this album and this deserves a spot on your playlist so go ahead and give it a listen, I promise, you’ll not regret it.
