3 min readMan people really get this music thingy and understands it too, sometimes the creativity that goes through some of the works are beyond me and this artist here Double Triangle, the musical brainchild of a talented artist with a unique blend of childhood inspiration and adult creativity has this double tracks out and sweet jesus that is some of the best tracks I’ve listened to, wow. Now the best part is this double release acts a special tribute a cherished artist by name Nan who was pivotal in the exploration of music early days. The tracks are Haberdashery and Brenda and haha see I thought the first track was crazy until I got to the second and oh my goodness, really really top notch. Join me and let’s take stroll while we glide through the tracks.
Now the A-side of the release, “Haberdashery,” is a track that is fully instrumental and man this shit right here is one of the best instrumentals crafted with piano I’ve ever heard. The track starts off with those beautiful melodic piano laying low and gradually blooms beautifully, thinking it was gonna follow it’s tempo then boom there’s the surprise with this electronic beats coming in and then holding on and becoming the focal point where the synths and the other elements joins in to to create this mid tempo beautiful soundscape I’ve ever heard.
Wow, see you don’t get something good as this often, so if I were you I would milk this sh** dry and enjoy it forever. This song tho is influenced by French electronica of the ’70s and ’80s which actually pays respect to iconic names like Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and more recent innovators such as Röyksopp and Todd Terje. This beautiful soundtrack is sure gonna take you by surprise, it’s beautiful scenery atmosphere it creates really resonates with every listener. Don’t get addicted haha cos the song is magical and beautiful.
Well welcome to the B-side, “Brenda,” this track tho has this nostalgic vibe that talks about the artist’s younger self and adult self. It’s a journey that unite their adult self and childhood. It’s a piano inspired sound track that his this evoking faint vocals beneath it that really kicks your emotions and gets you hooked to the track. Now the crazy aspect is the track was originally composed at age 9 inspired by the encouragement received from their Nan Brenda. This track is calm in nature and has the blend of neo-classical elements with synths and those evoking spirits of Nils Frahm and Tomita. See you really need to experience the feel and emotions around these double tracks, they all beautiful and really masterpieces
I’m sure we all would love to know the brains behind these creativity. Well the brain behind Double Triangle is a multi talented artist who won a 2-star PE award in 1991 and was a music producer too. His creativity is inspired by Vince Clarke, Depeche Mode, Dave Gilmour, Cliff Richard, and Kate Bush, man that’s some crazy stuffs haha I now understand why he’s good at what he does. Wow Double Triangle, this latest release attest to his talent and how refined the works are, and I must bravo, the way he creates and those sounds are able to unlock your emotions and resonates with you is awesome, so who don’t you go ahead and give Haberdashery and Brenda a listen and treat yourself to some good music this week.
