Cos what I got here is the best country song I’ve heard in a while and I wonder how this man here isn’t a mainstream artist already. Man the moment you hit on that play button, there’s no going back. Ma man here BACKSTROM, the brainchild of songwriter Backstrom, has got his debut single “The Journey” out. And what’s very interesting about the song is, it’s the lead track from his album “The Carousel.” This melodic and easy-listening country song offers a touching message of resilience and introspection without bending it into sentimentality and I freaking love it. Luca Giannotti adds his guitar expertise, particularly on the folkier songs, and Kimberly Faith provides harmonies on six tracks. Now tell me ya ain’t rooting for this song already, just look at that line-up, I don’t know how they did it, but wow, that’s probably one of the best country songs I’ve heard in a while. And you can really feel those inspirations from icons like Johnny Cash and the Rolling Stones. Well this song “The Journey” just oozes the timeless essence of classic country while blending it with modern elements which just elevates the song to different levels of excitement and enjoyability. The song tho was crafted through a collaborative process. It all started with Backstrom first creating a demo and then recruiting the talents of session musicians to epitomize the production. With Gabe Ward handling the mixing and mastering, while Tommy Jones assists with English lyrics. The result is a song that pierces the soul of listeners, gets them hooked with it melodious beats, then keeps them entertained and relaxed with those magical vocals.

Setbacks may come, but it’s all up to you to keep going or give up, but this song challenges you to never give up and look at the future ahead.
