Estrada Music Project Releases “Verso Melódico”
Not many are able to navigate life like everyone. Sometimes the difficult jobs people do strengthens them whilst it weakens others. And sometimes you watch people from afar and you feel like maybe you’re not even living life. Well Estrada Music Project (Alejandro Estrada) has one of those schedules that makes you feel like you should probably be doing more with your day. By day, he works in a hospital in Scotland. By night, from 7 to 11, he stops being a doctor and turns into a songwriter. His latest release, “Verso Melódico,” just dropped on February 15th, and it carries a lot of heavy luggage from his past life in Venezuela.

This song is the first look at his new Spanish EP, and it is a real tear-jerker if you pay attention to the story. Alejandro wrote it during a really messy time right before he left his home country. He was dealing with some big changes in his family life and the general chaos of moving across the world. He calls it the “end of a chapter” for who he used to be. It’s that feeling you get when you realize you can’t go back to how things were, but you aren’t quite sure where you are going yet.
The coolest part of this track isn’t just Alejandro’s voice; it’s the guitar. His son actually wrote and recorded the guitar parts. There is something really sweet about a father and son working together on a song that is basically about their family moving forward into a new future in a new country. It makes the whole thing feel a lot more personal than a typical studio track.
The music itself is very stripped-back and organic. It doesn’t have a bunch of fancy bells and whistles because it doesn’t need them. It’s just honest storytelling from a guy who has a lot of love for his wife and kids and wants to share that through his music. Alejandro seems like a genuinely happy guy who just happens to have gone through some tough stuff to get where he is.
Music has it way of speaking to, so if you like yours to feel like a real person talking to you about their life, you should give “Verso Melódico” a listen. It’s a nice reminder that even when things are falling apart, you can still find a way to make something beautiful out of the mess. Plus, it’s a great excuse to support a guy who spends his days helping people in a hospital.
