EXPERIENCE DAEMARCUS’ RESONANT MUSICAL TAPESTRY WITH HIS LATEST ALBUM “CORNER EYE”
3 min readPeople don’t make albums like these anymore, now peeps be just talking about money and girls, but if you looking for an album that really talks about life and all there’s then look no further cos DaeMarcus, a solo project led by the multi-talented Adam Araujo, has released a beautiful album dubbed “Corner Eye”. Araujo has backgrounds from Massachusetts in New Bedford and stands as the sole band member, playing the guitar, drums, keys, and vocals, wow that’s how hard he works just so we can enjoy the best. DaeMarcus’ inspirations comes from a lot of artist and genres like alternative rock Smashing Pumpkins, Keane, and Coldplay to rap legends like Biggie Smalls and Kanye West.
Well even though DaeMarcus hasn’t really done a live performances, he’s making waves in the music scenes than some of your favorite mainstreams, his projects are classics and authentic and “Corner Eye,” attest to that fact. DaeMarcus says “I am confident that the songs will resonate among all listeners and that they will stay with them for a long time,” asserts one review from Sinosidal. The album’s recording took place in a small studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts, with Adam Araujo serving as the production artist. DaeMarcus’ “Corner Eye,”is an album that’s worth all the hype it’s getting but wait, lemme take through 3 tracks that stands out to me on the album
Let’s start with “IMMUNITY”, the first track on the album which sets the tone for the rest of the album to follow make sure to keep listeners glued to yearn for more. The lyrics talks about the complexities of relationships. The opening lines, “Everything I could say to you wasn’t just nothing,” set the tone for a an unsure journey. The acknowledgment of a growing distance and the plea to “open up uncertainty” captures the struggle to maintain connection irrespective of the struggles happening. The song is deep and becomes the perfect song to kick start the album.
Next on ma list is “CLUTCH”, a song that talks about confessions beautifully. In this song DaeMarcus comes in with a purpose of wanting to communicate a desire that has been there since. As the song goes on, these lines “All the pieces are falling from my face, but I just keep walking” evoke a sense of vulnerability. Even tho they facing personal struggles, they determined to move on. Clutch brings light to unspoken truths that we all face when going through life internally.
The album ends in a very good way with ma favorite song “HERE WITH YOU,” this song speaks about being free emotionally and starting off fresh. The lyrics talks about how simple it is to feel “alright” in the present, like coming from a bad relationship to a new one that makes you were never even loved haha. The lines, “I’m done and I’m here with you,” lay emphasis on forgetting the past and enjoying the present. The pen game in this album, the beats and the delivery makes it a solid 10/10 album.
