4 min read

A lot of the time not many bands can create music that can rock your day and capture your emotions beautifully but man I’ve got this band here Fire in the Field, who hails from Boston. They’ve got their latest album, “Ash & Cinder” out and oh my goodness, the whole music industry is shaking and jamming to their album. The band which is driven by a fusion of heavy soul rock, blues swagger, and punk fervor has really cracked this one and wow, it’s an amazing piece of mastery. The band comprises of Mike Moore (vocals, guitar), Jeff Badolato (bass), Jared Graham (drums), and Andrew Blowen (keyboards), have taken the whole rock scene into a new fresh level with this album. To them they call it “The Blues Album” and oh you should know you’re in for magic and pure artistry. Haha I know you’re itching to see what the album entails, let’s f**king go🔥🔥. It’s an 8 track album but will take you through some intriguing 3 tracks on it.

You know listeners can be turned off if your lead track to an album doesn’t catch the listeners attention and wow, they didn’t miss with the lead track, “Snowblind Blues.” It’s a song that sets the album on a perfect mood for every listener. The song talks about how the society ignores people that they think are below their class. The lyircs paints a clear picture of people who are in need being ignored and leaving them unattended to. That’s our lives these days, we tend to not pay attention to people we think are of lesser class, because we think we are above them and they don’t matter, but one thing is we are all human, we all should be treated equally. But nope society will watch and do nothing. It’s a beautiful track that lift the album and sets puts the listener in an emotionally charged atmosphere ready to go. Those guitar riffs that starts the track tho hahaha it’s crazy man! Treat everyone with love as you’d treat yourself, let’s make the society better.

Next track on ma list is “Emotion & Disposal”. A song that talks about a story of a cocky guitar hero battling with feelings for a woman. The lyrics portrays a sense of switches between emotions and detachment, and what I love most about this song is the switch in tones of the vocals and its slow tempo nature haha, see it’s a track you shouldn’t miss on the album. It sheds light on the complex nature of human connections. You may be in love with someone and they may not, you may not like someone but they may like you. The album is really amazing, don’t miss this track on the album.

Signing off the album in style is the maad tune “Running from the Gun.” This track is ma favorite tho, oh man sometimes you just gotta run from that relationship. Don’t wait till the trigger is pulled and be hit by the bullet which acts as the heartache before reacting. The song talks about the need to sometimes flee from danger, portraying a sense of tension between vulnerability and resilience. Sometimes at gun point a lot runs through you emotions and those tension makes it difficult to decide but this track says run from that gun. The lyrics, beats and delivery on this track makes it a masterpiece that signs out the album beautifully. I could talk about the album for the whole day, but I want you to experience the creativity in there and the emotionally filled songs that captures your attention with those heavy blazing guitar riffs.

The arrangements of the songs on the album gives it a real feel and makes it hard to skip any track, the dept of emotions and blends on this album is pure artistry, making it a album that resonates with anyone who listens to it. We don’t get good albums like these anymore so when you chance on one make sure you milk it dry, just give this album “Ash & Cinder” a listen and trust me, it will be the best you’ve tasted this whole month. Fire in the Field really cooked this one. Make sure to check them out on the links below for more;
