HZPROD “Dreamer” Is More Than Just a Rap Song

These days hip-hop ain’t all that, if it ain’t about girls, it’s about money and some stuffs that many don’t f*ck with. So to me, if these kinda hip-hop don’t do it for you, then you’ve gotta hear what HZPROD is doing. His new single, “Dreamer,” dropped on March 31, 2026, and it is easily one of the most meaningful things I’ve heard all year. He ain’t singing about cars or jewelry or money here, instead he brings the world’s attention to an important matter that needs many hands on it. HZPROD—real name Damir Hadzalic, was born during the Bosnian war and grew up in New York, so when he makes music about conflict and displacement, he isn’t just guessing, he’s actually lived it and knows what he’s talking about.

Now the song “Dreamer” is the second part of his big project called War Torn. You may ask what’s the purpose here? Well the whole goal is to raise awareness for kids living through wars right now, and he even uses the project to help out the Save the Children foundation. It’s rare to find music that actually tries to do some good in the real world, and HZPROD is really putting his money where his mouth is.

The track itself is a total trip. It has this dark, cinematic feel that reminds me of a movie score, but then it hits you with these heavy boom-bap drums. Marco Vernice starts things off with a verse that doesn’t hold back. He talks about places like Sudan and Gaza, calling the song a “war cry from the masses.” It’s pretty intense, but it makes you stop and think about what’s actually happening outside of our own little bubbles.

Then Siggas comes in and keeps that energy going, rapping about social injustice and the struggles people face just to survive. But here is the cool part: despite all the heavy lyrics, the chorus is actually really hopeful. It has this uplifting hook that goes “Dream baby… freedom coming soon.” It’s a great contrast. It acknowledges that the world is messy and broken, but it tells you not to give up on your imagination or your hope.

The production is top-notch too. It isn’t just a standard beat; it has all these experimental textures and atmospheric sounds that make it feel huge. It’s the kind of song you put on when you want to feel something real. The artwork even matches the vibe—it shows a city on fire but with kids’ chalk drawings of peace on top of it. It’s a perfect way to show that even in the worst situations, people still try to dream of something better.

Go give this masterpiece “Dreamer” a listen. It’s a bold, honest piece of art that proves music can still be a tool for change. HZPROD isn’t following any trends here; he’s just telling a story that needs to be heard. It’s a powerful reminder that we’re all connected, no matter where we are in the world.
