JAHNAVI HARRISON’S “INTO THE FOREST (LIVE)” IS A SOUL-FEEDING MASTERPIECE
3 min readWhen it comes to music that’s spiritual and deep, no one in the music industry does it better than Jahnavi Harrison and now she’s back again with another album to feed our souls titled “Into The Forest(Live)”. Released exactly one year after her amazing concert in LA, this live recording just shows how popular Jahnavi is getting each and everyday. Personally, I became a fan after listening to just one song from her, she’s truly one of the very best out there and therefore I know she’s gonna have more fans from here.
Being raised in a family of Bhakti-yoga practitioners, Jahnavi says that quite helped her in becoming the amazing artist she is today. With her debut album “Like a River to the Sea” and contributions to the Grammy-nominated ‘Bhakti Without Borders’ charity album, She has proved she is indeed in a league of her own because there’s absolutely no one you can compare to her.
Over the years, Jahnavi has had a lot of collaborations and worked on a lot of singles and albums with many artists but some of those collabs that she thinks are really good includes her collaboration with Willow Smith on the single ‘Surrender (Krishna Keshava)’ and the EP ‘RISE’ as well as her regular presentations on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 which proves she’s not just good with one genre but can work with whoever in whatever genre and still prove she’s the best at what she does.
Not gonna lie, every track on this release is so good that it’s very hard to even say which track is really better than the other. But among the tracks on the album are the 3 fan favourite. Since it’s release, fans can’t seem to have enough of these 3 as they talk about it on almost every social media platform. These 3 tracks are “Rise”, “Gajendra” and “I Trust You”. Don’t worry, I’ll give you a sneak peak into what they’re all about.
Let’s start with “Gajendra”, this track basically talks about struggles and surrender. As the song goes on, the lyrics talks about how people fight for their lives and after sometime they get tired and pray for a higher power to save them. That’s enough, i don’t wanna get into it too much and ruin it for you, buddy.
Next is “Rise”. Rise is a very powerful song that tells the listener to wake up, think and ask the questions that come from deep within them. With the beats, lyrics and delivery, this is by far one of my best songs on this album.
And the last one which is actually the song that ends the album is “I Trust You”. This songs talks about having trust and faith in a divine higher power. It also talks about wanting to change from your old ways, start a new life, love and embrace what comes next. As the song goes on, there’s a repetition of “I trust you”, which shows a declaration of faith. This is a really deep spiritual song and very perfect ending to such an amazing album.
“Into the Forest (Live)” is without a doubt, one of the best albums Jahnavi Harrison has ever made. With literally no bad song , this album is among my top 5 albums of all time and anyone who says anything bad about this is just hating or looking for clout. If you’re looking for something new and amazing to listen to, to feed your soul, then “Into the Forest (Live)” is the best album made just for you. In my humble opinion, “Into the Forest (Live)” is a solid 10/10. “Into the Forest (Live)” was actually released on November 3, 2023 on all streaming and digital platforms. So get ready to listen to something new that feeds your soul, I promise you, the experience you’ll get from “Into the Forest (Live)” is something you’ll never forget.
