Lewis Knaggs Explores Self-Deception on “Liar Liar”

Lewis Knaggs is on a bit of a roll lately. After a busy 2025 where he put out tracks like “City of Millions,” he is back with a new single called “Liar Liar.” If you are expecting a long, drawn-out epic, think again. This one is short, sharp, and gets straight to the point.

The song is basically a deep dive into all the little lies we tell ourselves. You know the ones—like when you say you’re “fine” but you’re actually losing your mind, or when you pretend to be someone else just to fit in. Knaggs is looking at that weird tension between who we really are and the person we show to the world.

It starts out feeling very personal, almost like you’re eavesdropping on someone’s internal monologue. He talks about the “headspace” we all carry and how those tiny unresolved lies can eventually blow up and mess with your relationships. But it doesn’t stop there. The track actually hints at how this kind of self-deception can ripple out into the bigger world, leading to a massive lack of truth on a global level. It’s pretty heavy stuff for a short song, but he makes it work without being preachy.

He has this knack for taking big, messy feelings of disconnection and making them sound like something you can actually wrap your head around. There is a lot of sincerity in his voice here. It doesn’t have the gospel vibes of some of his older work, but it still has that emotional weight that makes you want to listen to it a few times in a row just to catch everything he’s saying. Not many of us sees it when it happens, but if you’ve ever caught yourself in a lie—even a small one—this song is probably going to hit home. It’s honest, it’s punchy, and it proves that Knaggs isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
