“PAWS ON EARS” BY HOT SPOON, COLD MANGO IS A MUSICAL ODYSSEY OF CREATIVITY & INNOVATION

When I say “Hot Spoon” then you say “Cold Mango”, “Hot Spoon”…Yes!, there we go. A lot of bands get easily recognized by different things but this band gets easily recognized because of their name because come on, how can you forget. Besides their name only, ever since they debuted, their unique style of making music is also one of the things that makes them stand out and get easily recognized and now they are back again with their new album “Paws On Ears”.

This album is by far one of the best the band has ever made, Not gonna lie. Literally every single song on this album is a 10/10. From “Je ne parle pas francais” to “My Teddy Bears Look at me Funny” and “The Statistician’s Melancholic Marching Band”, every song on this album has it’s own message, it’s own beat and it’s own mood it’ll put you in. Whether you want to relax or do something and you need something to listen to then this album is just what you need.

Even if you need something to listen to when you’re meditating, “Paws On Ears” is what you need. If you’ve been following the band for a while now then you’ll notice this album is way different from most of their previous releases. This album shows how much they’re growing as artists and how hard they are working to bring out the best in them with every release. I must say they’ve got the best instrumentals album out now. The way they mix their sound together to produce such quality of music must be studied. From the first track on the album to the last one, you’re invited to yearn for more.

The first track sets the mood for the rest of the album to follow, it gives you a relaxing memory of a lot of things, to me it’s an album you would love to enjoy with your partner on vacation. It’s crazy how many try this instrumentals and end up producing noise, but this one is quality,smooth delivery and a masterpiece well crafted to be enjoyed everywhere, anywhere without you thinking for the environment you’re surrounded with cos there’s a track for every moment. The amazing thing is when you start from the top track, the arrangements of the album keeps you in the mood till the end, I don’t know how they did it but that’s awesome. It’s a beautifully arranged album.
