Oh you know it’s always flames and magic when an artist makes a return to the music scenes after a time out and man oh man, Los Angeles, CA, Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Rob Giles is back with an album that’s full of bangers dubbed “MEDITATION DRIVE-THRU.” I know you fans have been starved for over a decade but c’mon the wait is over and whoosh it’s one hell of an album, and you must milk it dry hahahah.
MEDITATION DRIVE-THRU is his fifth studio album which comes with 11 solid electric powerful tracks that we gonna feast on and I can’t say how much of a good album it is for the waves it’s already making. Should be expecting another Grammys hahaha cos it was produced by another Grammy-winning producer Rich Jacques so just imagine the creativity and fireworks we about to enjoy.
Oh here we go, to what lights the album on fire and set the mood is the track “Tears Into Art,” a song that talks about resilience. Rob Giles, who has been away from music, was faced personal challenges, and felt he had lost his voice but found inspiration in his friend who woke up from battling with illness. Such a touchy story to never loose hope. Keep fighting and believing, be resilient and strive through for there’s light at the end of the dark tunnel. The song’s lyrics talks about preparing a space to welcome something new even when nothing seems to work and destroyed. Let go off what destructs you, let go off what pushes you back and embrace a brighter day with the hope that day will shine on you cos you can never tell. Wow such a powerful message from the first track, see I’m not gonna do spoilers here so I’m gonna give into one more track and leave you to go devour the album. Tears Into Art is a beautiful track for everyone and anyone looking to rediscover themselves and be reborn.
“Some Stars”, the track that has ma heart shattered and humbled. In this track Rob Giles invites listeners to question themselves about their place in the world. The lyrics of the song talks about how important it is to be humble and united without looking down on anyone. Believing in everyone and seeing them useful and the potential they carry. The light in them for they can be the stars we don’t often see. See this is by far the best album I’ve tasted this year and I just can’t get enough of it. The song goes on to talk about the rejoice the world get when we all support each other and make everyone shine like the sun. Rob is indeed him,, we can’t dispute that fact. His pen game is elite and those vocals omg, man they soo soothing and the best you’d ever hear, and the delivery?? Rob Giles’ return to music is not just a comeback but also a testament to the saying talent never does and form is temporary but class will always be permanent.
