The metal trio “We Are To Blame” which is made up of Alice Hartvig as the vocalist, guitarist and vocalist Johan Karlsson and guitarist Urban Granbacke is back again with a new EP titled “Duality II” and it’s pure flames coupled with some magic singles which I’m gonna take you through some. So be prepared to be wowed cos this EP is full of bangers.
The EP starts with the song “I Want This to End”, a song that talks about how hard it is to chase a dream that’s very hard to achieve. The lyrics of the song talks about how lonely it is when you’re really determined in chasing your dreams. The lines “I don’t need your hand, no, I don’t want your hand. I’m losing myself now in all of this chaos around. So hear when I say this loudly and clear, that I want this to end” shows how you can still be vulnerable while you’re still strong.
The next song i’m gonna talk about is “Into the Fire” which is actually the third(3rd) song on the EP. This song talks about having the strength and will power to go through the challenges of life and fighting through whatever comes your way. The lines “I gave myself, I gave it all” shows how it feels like to have the weight of the world on your shoulders as you fight your way through life.
Another track that you can’t help but listen to on repeat on the EP is “Be Here”. This is an amazing song that talks about discovering and finding yourself. As the song goes on, the lyrics also tells us how important it is to have someone you can call your own with the lines “Be here with me, all my thoughts in your hands, be there with them, looking around, we are one.”
“We Are To Blame” have really shown they’re the GOAT of the metal genre with is EP. Every song on this EP talks about something all humans go through and it’s this realness with the amazing vocals on their songs that makes it so relatable.
