“We Stay Close” by Borsi Proves Less Can Truly Be More

Like I always say, artist that are able to craft music with minimal lyrics or vocals are wonderful. Cos the amount of thought process and the precision needed is outrageous. This goes on to show the kind of talent such people have. You know that moment where you’re out late with a friend you’ve known forever, then you’re just nodding along to the music without needing to say a word, you’ll get exactly what Borsi is doing here in this song.

The Austrian producer just released “We Stay Close,” and it is a refreshing break from the kind of electronic music that tries to blow your speakers out with massive, annoying drops. This makes the song unique and doesn’t try to over impress you, instead it allows you room to enjoy the music and vibe to it the way you want to.

Now if you know Borsi, you’d know he’s a bit of a late bloomer in the music world, but that’s probably why his stuff feels so grounded. He ain’t here for your top 100s stuffs, even though we all do enjoy them, but instead, he’s making deep house that feels warm and very human. The standout feature of this track is the violin. It’s haunting and beautiful, weaving through the beat in a way that makes the song feel like it’s telling a story.

There’s also a handpan—you know, that instrument that looks like a metal UFO—which gives the groove a really natural, earthy feel. It doesn’t sound like a computer just spitting out notes; it sounds like someone actually playing. I like how he lets the bassline sit deep and steady, making it perfect for a long night drive or those early morning hours when the club is starting to thin out and only the real ones are left.

In as much as the song wants you to dance, it’s there to tell you that regardless of what happens, don’t forget that friendship and staying connected even when life gets messy or people move away. It’s part of life, so never outgrow your day one friends cos they are the best. What makes me love the song even more is how no loud or preachy vocals are used. Instead, Borsi uses subtle vocal textures that make you feel that sense of trust and closeness. It’s all very chill and honest.

Well to me “We Stay Close” is the kind of track that works just as well in your headphones while you’re trying to focus as it does on a dancefloor. Borsi is proving that you don’t need a formula or a flashy gimmick to make an impact. You just need a good groove and a little bit of heart.
