LEE SWITZER-WOOLF’S “OTOTOXIN” IS A FLAWLESS BLEND OF FOLKTRONICA AND PERSONAL RESILIENCE
2 min readThis has been quite a year for fans of Lee Switzer-Woolf because just 6 months after the release of his second album “Annihilation Signals”, he’s back again with a new song “Ototoxin”. Made out of Lee’s personal struggles with back problems, “Ototoxin” is a song that talks about pain and medication. It turns out this song was recorded at the same time the second album was recorded but it’s release was delayed. Just so we can feast on it after the album.
What really makes this song catchy is the opening. The beats that start the song and the vocals that comes with the lyrics as it begins is everything, especially with the opening line “I never should have dreamt about you”, immediately catches your attention and makes you wanna stay and find out more about what the song is really about. Lee has been known for making folktronica music since he started his career and that is why he’s so good at this. With the help of his long-time collaborator, Aden Pearce, for mixing and mastering, they’ve really polished this song to perfection. If you asked me to describe this song with one word, it’d be “Flawless”.
The storytelling in the lyrics is just the best, the arrangement of the lyrics , the delivery and the beats helps makes the message of the song very clear. The song also releases with a lyrics music video that will make it very easy for listeners to understand what the song is about and get the message very well and oh, let’s not forget about the merch drop too , be sure not to miss this opportunity to get a souvenir!.
“Ototoxin” shows how good Lee Switzer-Woolf is at telling his listeners the struggles he goes through and that’s what makes him different because a lot of people can relate to him. As “Ototoxin” makes its debut, it just shows that Lee Switzer-Woolf is without a doubt the king of folktronica because he’s miles ahead of everyone else in that genre. This song shows what he’s got and what more he has to offer, so ahead and give “Ototoxin” a listen and experience Lee’s talent first hand. Don’t forget to check out these links below for more info;
