RIPSIME UNVEILS AN EMOTIONAL & EVOCATIVE EP “CAPSULE I: WICKED AND WISE”

You remember that one time you ordered for your favorite food and it took forever to arrive but upon arriving, you wished it had come sooner but the wait was worth it. Yes IT’S FINALLY HERE!. Ripsime’s long awaited EP “Capsule I: Wicked and Wise” is finally. The wait was actually worth it cos she really took her time and cooked this masterpiece. This EP is all about personal growth, love and the harsh reality and truth about war. If you haven’t heard of Ripsime before, she’s a British-Armenian independent alt-pop songwriter, producer and artist, yes, she does it all. This debut EP was actually inspired by Ripsime’s experience in Armenia during the conflict between Artsakh and Armenia. And you know what I say about debuts right? Haha let’s hop on the album and begin to feast.
Let’s start with the lead song of the EP, “Wicked & Wise”. Wow being wicked and wise? Huh that’s crazy, well I want you to go listen to this song and see how it pans out. There’s a twist tho, just go find out. Right right right Ripsime’s vocals in the song, the beats, the lyrics along with the delivery will definitely remind you of Elder Island and Kate Bush. As the lead track, this is a very great song that shows how talented and dedicated Ripsime is to making music, this is a song you really need to listen to. Oh wait wait, the secret banger on the album is Daemons, oh my my my that track is crazy and will get you hooked throughout the album. It’s got some special tone and tunes so well with your soul when you listening to it. Shh just a spoiler alert haha.
Another song on the EP that really stands out is the opening track of the EP “Benevolent Prince”. This is a song that talks about being bold and resilient. It’s like crushing on a fine babe who’s actually out of your class. Lol what you gonna do to win her huh? Being bold, brave and resilience and be that prince charming. Being a song made in the electronic music genre, you just imagine how it sounds like. The beats and vocals are just 10/10, spot on.
And lastly, “In Clouds”. This song talks about leaving and saying goodbye. This song perfectly describes how hard separations are and how it emotionally affects people. A very emotional song that was perfectly written. I’ll say this again goodbye is the saddest word you will eve hear, it breaks you down or gives you memories and reminds you of them, making it to let go but what choice do you have? Indeed in clouds it is.
This EP shows both Ripsime’s personal life journey and her journey as an artist. If you’ve been listening to Ripsime since her debut then you’d see how her talent has evolved.
