Well she’s celebrated in LA and Malaysia a lot, having won best album and best female vocalist at the 2022 Global Music Awards, you should know that you’re in for a masterclasses.
“Always You” unveils Lyia’s exploration of jazz pop, a lyrical collaboration with songwriter Denise Dimin. Lyia Meta reflects on the inspiration behind ‘Always You,’ emphasizing the importance of staying true to herself and her influences. She shares, “With the album ‘ALWAYS YOU,’ the story continues as I attempt to retell the words written by songwriter Denise Dimin through my own experiences and emotions.”
The track that sets the mood for the entire album is “Always You”. A song made with love, that talks about how important it is to have a constant connection and being cared for even when life comes at you and your lover. Their unending love shown to you in those difficult moments in life makes them always them. We all wish to be logged unconditionally, like an unchanging love, it keeps the same energy it came it from the begining. The song really is a beautiful, especially with the way the lyrics are crafted and the vocals adding Soo much emotions to it. Making it a song that you can’t skip to the next one on the album. The lyrics paints a clear picture of love’s beauty, their smile, the way they flatter you and their sincerity. It’s just Soo good of a song, Lyia really did magic on this one and I can’t get enough of. The delivery and those magical vocals makes a 10/10 lead track on the album.
Another track that sparks the album is “For You”. In this particular song Lyia talks about the aftermath of love lost. The doo many questions we ask after break up, like don’t the memories we shared comes to your mind? Like do you miss me? The lyrics speaks volumes of how we wish we could reconnect with an ex or lost love, the memories created, the moments had and everything that happened. We just wanna know if they actually loved us like we did, we want to see what’s in their memories, were we even part? In the end it’s all For you. Give this track a listen it entails a lot I can’t cover here. A track that portrays a sense of longing for someone they no longer available. Haven’t we all experience such moments? Yes this track really talks about it better.
To sign out the album is “My Dream Lover”. A classy song that talks about the kind of love and lover we all wish we had. It’s a dreamy vibe song that anyone can relate to cos the storytelling in here is something out of this world. The lyrics talks about a dreamy encounter where you wake up and wish it was never a dream but even with that you forgot the face of that beautiful lover you met in your dream. Like you can’t even differentiate between reality and dreams. It’s a bittersweet moment. The song is addictive. This is what we call an album, the storylines, the delivery and the vocals makes this a solid 10 album. Can’t even deny it, I enjoyed this on repeat from track 1-8. This song is solid to end the album in style. Go ahead and give this album a listen, ya gonna get hooked from track 1 to the end. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
