Man, I don’t know how people do it but people are crazily talented and understand this music thingy, the way they are able to craft music from different genres, blend them, and give it a spice that is beyond perfection and gets the listener in their feels and makes them enjoy the track all day is what Zach McKenzie has done on his latest single titled “The Day that I Found You.” One thing people don’t realize too is that, love can really be a live changing tool, and it’s also the one thing that can make you glow and grow even in your darkest moments, having that special person being a shoulder to lean on and giving you support is something we all wish to have. Zachary Wayne McKenzie Born in 1987 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas found his passion for music early, a passion which was heavily influenced by his family’s regular church attendance. After the graduation, he did go to Bible college and afterwards, committed fully to his music career and boom, this is the results we are enjoying today. He’s a decorated artist, who won the Arkansas Idol in 2012 which fueled him to audition for the 12th season of American Idol, and man I man, just go and watch his performance and he stunned Judges Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, Nikki Minaj, and Keith Urban. So that’s the kinda talent embedded in him, and that’s what we are enjoying now.
Now this single “The Day that I Found You” is one song i can play whole day without getting enough of it. The way he beautifully blended Country, Soul, and Gospel, to match his diverse musical influences is unmatched. The moment you hit that play button, the immediate country string you hear just tells you, you’re about to enjoy an all time classic. Then the beats kicks in are you’re already having an orgasmic feel in your ears, then his soulful vocals bumps in and you’re all consumed and sold on the track. What I love about the song is the way it gives you this country vibe, yet has this gospel thing about it that makes you wanna sing it out loud to everyone. It has that choir vibe yet takes you back to those lunch time tracks of a gone era and my goodness, you just can’t stop listening. As the song progresses, you hear the refrain “The day that I found you, the day my life got started,” capturing the beautiful change that love brings. Sometimes love is all we need to be able to keep going, to have someone that pushes you to the edge, someone that makes you complete, someone that gives you everything so you could actualize your dreams and that is the kinda love Zach McKenzie is taking about in this track. The track gives you this happy vibes that I love soo much, then I changed on another track in his catalogue titled Honky Tonk Heaven, wow, Zach, I’m addicted to your craft now, the way he makes music sound soo good effortlessly is what I can’t fathom. His ability to put together different genres and yet makes everything shine uniquely without messing them is what makes me wonder. And this thank The Day That I Found You is a testament to his talent and ability, what’s beautiful is the song’s structure, it’s soo soothing and captivating that you begin to sing out loud forgetting yourself.
