“Ave” by Dr. Go : Close Your Eyes, You’re in Orbit
Fantasies can sometimes be draining cos, you will be all dreamy and wishing, yet nothing could make you feel such an experience. Then out of no where, you meet that one thing that brings the whole experience to you, music! It’s such a masterpiece that fills in soo many voids. That’s why, we can’t do without it. So if you’ve ever looked up at the night sky and wished you could just hop on a rocket and leave all your emails, problems, stress, money and laundry behind, Dr. GO is making the music you need and his latest track, “Ave,” is the kind of electronic music that makes you feel like you’re floating through a nebula without the need for an expensive space suit. It’s one of a kind that translates the experience and it feels into rhythms and vocals that makes you know yes, this is it.
What makes this song special is how Dr. GO does everything himself in his private studio. And the fact that he has dedicated his nitch towards these experiences, cos tell me why his studio apparently has stars twinkling on the walls. Isn’t that sh!t cool? Hahaha. Well can’t fault the man, he grew up listening to legends like Jean-Michel Jarre and Moby, and you can really hear that influence shining through the song. That mix of ambient vibes and soft trance that doesn’t try to bash your ears in with heavy beats makes it for me. I love the way he uses warm synth pads and shimmering melodies to get you into a dream state. He makes you feel as though, you actually explored the galaxy yourself.
So to me, the song “Ave” is meant to be a journey through the universe. It’s very gentle and atmospheric. He also has another track called “Hyperion” that brings in some ethereal vocals if you want something a bit more emotional and danceable.
One of the coolest things about this project is that he actually plays this music in planetariums. Imagine leaning back in one of those comfy chairs, looking at massive projections of galaxies, while these cosmic sounds fill the room. It’s way better than just staring at your phone in the dark.
Dr. GO says he wants to make the world a bit brighter through his music, especially when things get tough. He really believes in the magic of space, and “Ave” is his way of letting us touch those distant worlds for a few minutes. It’s great for when you just want to zone out and let your imagination run wild. No stress, no loud noises, just a smooth trip to the stars.
