It’s crazy how often good music becomes a rare commodity these days. Not many can create a song that carries deep meanings and message but here is Curtis Nowosad’s, who has taken to himself to make music that’s perfect and soothing to the ear. He’s got one out dubbed “If I Had”. An EP that stands as a soul-searching piece with a core message of social justice. We all know Curtis Nowosad and man the way he skillfully blend his personal and political issues in song makes him a great talent to watch. Well I know we are in for a ride, so why don’t you grab some coffee and lemme glide you through “If I Had”.

In the EP “If I Had,” Nowosad continues his exploration, now see what he did, he selected legendary tunes like “By the Time I Get to Phoenix” and Nick Drake’s “Road.” Then went ahead and blended them with classics songs that speaks about societal issues like “If I Had a Hammer (The Hammer Song)” and Stevie Wonder’s “Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away.” And man the emotion content in the these tracks are crazy. It’s a beautiful EP that asks us to stand for justice in this crazy world where everyone don’t care about what others go through so far us they got what they want. In a world where communities and people are being treated wrongly and everyone’s watching and can’t stand up for them. We all looking for justice, we can’t lay our guards down. If I had everyone would be enjoying the best, that’s the whole point of the EP, but even if we don’t have, we can all contribute our bits to stand up for societal growth.

According to Nowosad, he says music acts carry the power to propel positive energy into the world, even if they are talking about issues of sorrow, grief, or injustice. To him it’s his responsibility to send a clear message of justice, which can be joyful and still talk about a joint effort to improve the society. So let’s all come together and deliver this message to the world. Let’s heal the world together. From the first track the last track this EP is a standout amongst it peers. A must listen EP that deserves everyone’s attention and we all can resonate with it’s content.

Nowosad collaborates with guitarist Andrew Renfroe and bassist Luke Sellick, both of whom contribute significantly to the project. Andrew is described as irreplaceable, and Luke, a longstanding collaborator, effectively communicates the essence of the songs without words.
