GLASS CABIN STRIKES GOLD AGAIN WITH “GLASS CABIN 2” WHICH IS A JOURNEY THROUGH EMOTIONS & STORYTELLING
2 min readI know you’re probably wondering where you’ve heard the name “Glass Cabin” before and if you still haven’t remembered then let me help you out. You most definitely heard it in 2021 because that was the year their self-titled album “Glass Cabin” was a global hit, I’m talking about hearing about it and seeing posts about it on all social media platforms.
The band “Glass Cabin” is made up of 2 people, Jess Brown and David Flint. Jess and David met in Nashville and that is how the band came to be. Their way of making music is influenced by used guitars, stories, tunes, and poets and that’s what helps them make music that sets them apart from other bands. Let’s take a stroll through the album.
Let’s start with “I Wanna Live”, this songs talks about the desire for new beginnings. The song talks about the desire to live fully, to love and giving your heart to a new person. At a point in life we all wanna love someone, give our all to that person and commit to them, live life and enjoy every moment of it. The beats, the lyrics and the delivery is what makes this song very special actually.
Then we have “Sam Shepard Play”. The message of the track is very simple and clear. The lyrics talks about meeting someone or getting into a situation that feels just like “Sam Shepard Play”
The last song on my list which is actually the last song on the Album , “Damn Myself”, This is a song about regret. You ever loved someone that made you felt week all the time, looked down upon you and make you feel less of yourself, like they did you a favor by dating you. The regret that comes with such things are very unbearable. Or a moment where you had someone Soo valuable in your life but let them go cos you thought you’ve met someone better, the regret that comes with it. The sound, the delivery and the lyrics makes this an emotional song that a lot of people can relate to.
“Glass Cabin 2” shows how good Glass Cabin is at storytelling and music making. Over the years, they’ve made songs that have gotten them this far in their career and they promise fans that they have way more to offer. Every song on this album tells a story that fans and listeners can relate to. In my opinion, this is a 10/10 album. Give it a listen and you might end up listening to the whole album on repeat for a week!. Don’t forget to check out the links below for more info;
