I don’t how better I can put the words to describe them but these Australian synth-pop rock duo Gunning for Allie has the perfect song that goes deeper and talks about it better, their latest single “Alive,” a track that comes in with vibrant energy and has the vibes from the 80s. The amazing thing is the song is party of their upcoming EP dubbed, “Sleeping Alone,” following the success of “Stay” and “Talk,” from the album. Now the crazy challenge Gunning for Allie did was creating a synth-pop track using only Logic presets, and the results ? A song that has influence the powerhouse Chvrches. The song talks about how you wish you could bring back a loved one or lost one. It’s a song that pays tribute to Josh late best friend Courtney, May Courtney’s soul RIP 🕊️ 🕊️. The song has this vibes that you get when driving and jamming to a song, yes that’s one aspect of the song and those synths beats makes it Soo awesome to a road trip song on the road..oh man gives vibes from 80s indeed, and this duo really did magic with this one.
“Alive” is really emotional especially with the lost of Josh’s best friend, the track maintains it’s emotional dept as seen in their previous works like “Braille” and “Paper Hearts,” adding a personal. The lyrics of Alive talks about loss and how difficult it is to move on, how you wished you could have been there if you could bring them alive, you’d have, it’s a feeling of grief and remembrance, something we all can relate to.
Alive is a no joke song, after the success of their early single “Braille,” which has attained over 200k streams on Spotify alone.
