Sometimes you’ve to let the person you love most go so no one gets hurt. It’s not easy to let go but sometimes it’s the best choice, to be able to even come to that conclusion ain’t an easy task, let alone gather the courage to tell them, man it’s draining and makes you loose your shit. But if it’s not done, things are gonna get crazier and you don’t want that. Such situations is what Garry Pratt has put together on his country song titled “Before Someone Gets Hurt”. This is a song that talks about love, heartbreak and how painful it is when you decide to end a relationship you really wanted it to work out.
Now this song Before Someone gets Hurt which was actually written by Larry McCoy, Bart Butler and Westin Davis, is a very raw and honest story about Gary’s own personal experiences of heartbreak. The song lay emphasis on the decision to have to let your lover go away so no one gets hurt. Sometimes stuffs have been going on and it turns out that you the only trying to make it work, yes the decision may be difficult one, but one day you will look back and ask if it was worth it at all and that’s when it will hit you hard. But you didn’t want anyone to get hurt and so you took the hardest pill to swallow, to let go off that unique person, that person who made your life soo peaceful, but after careful considerations, you realized it’s not gonna work. So you just have to let go, I don’t how you feel but man, the emotions and the tone in which Gary sang this one makes it even more emotionally draining. The pain, the feeling to accept it’s not gonna work, you don’t see the relationship as you saw it in the beginning and to prevent any serious consequences you have to hurt yourself now to end it. One thing I love about the track are those country beats, sweet Jesus, that’s one of the best country mixed beats I’ve ever heard, the calmness, its distinctive nature and those guitars, they are soo melodic and soothing then blended with Gary’s incredible vocals. The song feels soo orgasmic and I love how he breathes life into the song and makes anyone who has been through a situation where they had to let go of someone they didn’t want to, relate to the song on a much much personal level.
Well “Before Someone Gets Hurt” shows just how much talented Gary Pratt really is and how he is able to connect with a lot of people with just one song and that proves he’s one of the biggest rising artists in the country music genre and he has a bright future ahead of him.
