2 min read

You know when an artist gives you a sneak peak of anything upcoming then you know that shii is an outright banger. While this artist is preparing for his 2024 album “Pinkeen” which is influenced by artists like Sisqo and Keith Sweat. Joe Lington has given us an EP that offers a glimpse into the upcoming album titled WTPA. This EP serves as a prelude to the album which will have the lyrics in both French and English. “WTPA” is about a woman’s journey to self-discovery and personal growth.

“WTPA” kicks off the EP with a catchy vibe and helps set the tone for the EP. You see when you have a night out with yo buddies, filled with music, new guys, and dancing, that’s what the lyrics talks about. Well the chorus “Where the party at, right here,” invites the listener to join in the fun, I mean if the party is right in front of you ain’t you gonna join?. If even you won’t join, the song is gonna invite you. The song is simple and the lyrics are all about living in the moment, enjoying life and dancing the night away.

“Pinkeen” which is the title track of the forthcoming album, takes a different turn. Joe Lington’s smooth delivery and catchy repetition of “Pinkeen yeah” in the chorus make this song very catchy and will make you want to dance, like I said even if you won’t party the songs will invite you and this song does the job. The song perfectly captures the EP’s main idea of self-discovery, leaving the listener to wonder who and what “pinkeen” really is .

“Hypocrisy” ends the EP with a deeper topic. How well can we deal with hypocrites? And to talk of the challenges that comes with it. Huh, well the lyrics emphasize on it. Once a while or many a times we all have these people in our lives. And this song talks about them very well. The song’s message is straightforward ,the people who claim to support you may not always have your best interests at heart. The lyrics sends a message of betrayal and the frustration that comes with realizing the true intentions of these individuals. The chorus’s repetition of “Ce sont des hypocrites” reinforces the message.

Joe Lington’s “WTPA” EP offers a diverse range of experiences and emotions. From “WTPA” to “Pinkeen” and “Hypocrisy,” this EP shows Joe Lington’s versatility as an artist. How he uses both French and English makes the song very lively, with vibes and also catchy. The EP successfully sets the stage for the forthcoming album “Pinkeen”. For more info, click on the links below so you don’t miss out;
