Leo Brawdy’s “Over You”:A Country Breakup That Refuses to Cry

Haha, not many people are usually happy when a relationship ends. But sometimes deep down, you’re happy it’s actually over. Cos the amount of stress and issues you been through trying to make it work, sigh, ain’t worth it at all. Well Leo Brawdy just kicked the door down for 2026 with his new single, “Over You,” and it’s basically a party in a box. Released on February 6th, this track is a wild mix of country twang and old-school swing that moves so fast it feels like it’s on steroids.

The song is built around a classic couple’s argument, but instead of being a sad breakup ballad, it’s a total blast. Leo and guest singer CJ Clarke go back and forth with some hilarious storytelling. Those country pop beats are just addictive and in the settings and tone it was built is just mesmerizing. As the song progresses you realize at one point, Leo swears he’d rather spend his time with a bottle of whiskey than deal with the drama, and then his partner fires back with a counterattack that’ll leave you grinning. Even poor Riley Green gets caught in the middle of their fight for no reason at all. It’s bubbly, cheeky, and doesn’t take itself seriously for even a second.

Behind the scenes, the project is the brainchild of François Domain. He’s the producer who created Leo Brawdy as a sort of “AI meets human grit” avatar. It’s a pretty cool concept—taking the deep storytelling of Nashville roots and plugging it into modern, high-energy production. Domain says the goal was to make a song that makes you “forget your dignity by the second chorus,” and he definitely nailed it.

There is also a music video on the way that sounds like it’s going to be just as chaotic as the track. Expect lots of glitter, neon lights, and probably a few moments that make you say, “Wait, what did I just watch?”

If you need something to shake off the winter blues and get your boots moving, this track “Over You” is worth it. It’s loud, it flirts with the listener, and it’s impossible to sit still while it’s playing. It’s pure fun wrapped in a country-pop wrapper.
