LJ AND THE RECKLESS HORNS COMES IN WITH A BANG ON THEIR NEW ALBUM

When artists name albums after their own names or after someone then you know that album is lit and full of bangers and this is album is of no exception. Trust me you will put it on repeat as soon as you start listening with an attentive heart.. With each song carrying a special message and how they are arranged tells you how much work the artist put in. My personal favorite has to be “Cleopatra” I love everything about that track.

LJ and The Reckless Horns are a group of talented musicians from Adelaide, Australia. This group is a powerhouse with ten members, including a four-piece rhythm section and a two-piece brass section. But what sets them apart are their four talented singers who sing in both English and French. Led by LJ (Lex Jones), who’s been making music for a while now, they’re ready to show the world their new album  “LJ & The Reckless Horns”.

The album begins with the track “I Don’t Know What Love Is”. In “I Don’t know what Love is,” the lyrics express the feeling of being in a new relationship. The song talks about the hesitations of saying too much too soon in a relationship. It’s a song filled with the desire of love but also the fear of rushing into something you’re not so sure about. The repeated line, “I don’t know what love is,” shows the confusion and uncertainty that often comes with the early stages of a relationship. It’s a feeling a lot of people can relate to.The song also talks about the need for honesty , being transparent and communicating in a relationship with the line , “Tell me if you want me too”. “I Don’t Know What Love Is” is a heartfelt song with deep meaningful lyrics that a lot of people can relate to on a much personal level.

Another heartfelt song on the album is “Cleopatra“. It’s a song that talks about how people feel when they find true love.It expresses how lucky they feel to have found their right person;

You found that special one thing in my heart. Never did i think a girl like you Would fall for someone like me. Cleopatra, You’re the one for me, I hope you understand that you are the only reason Why i never have to fall in love again.

The 6th song on the album,”We Will Find A Way,” carries a message of hope and openness to new beginnings. The song tells us that it’s never too late to reconnect with someone. It’s a call to find a way back to one another, to explore the possibilities of love and connection. The line “Round and round again we go” emphasizes the cyclical nature of life and relationships. The verse “Is it me you’re looking for?” hints at the need for reassurance, to be wanted and to know if the other person feels the same way.
