OLIVER JORDAN’S “SONGS IN THE KEY OF CRAZY” IS A HEARTFELT MUSICAL JOURNEY INTO THE SOUL

3 min read

Oliver Jordan’s new album “Songs In The Key Of Crazy” is just amazing!. If you’ve been following Oliver over the years, you’d know he’s know for his lyrics and the messages he sends through his songs. His deep meaningful lyrics is what fans love most about him. If you haven’t heard a song from Oliver before then this album will carve his name into your heart and have you wanting to hear more from him. With a total of 15 songs, this is an album that talks about a lot of things that a lot of people go through and that’s what makes Oliver Jordan’s music so relatable. Below, I’m gonna give glimpses on 3 songs that, in my very humble opinion, stands out on the album.

The first on my list is the opening track on the album, “Dr. Prinzhorn”. A song that sets the tone for the rest of the album. But wait here’s the catch sometimes not every opening song sets the album ablaze but trust me this one really does. This song talks bout pain and how it feels to have mental challenges. Something I won’t even wish on ma worst enemy, the song best describes mental challenge and the pain it comes with perfectly, which I truly believe this is a song that a whole lot of people can understand and relate to on a very personal level and that’s what makes this song very special and a very perfect way to start off the album.

Moving on is “Take the Tranquilizer” which talks about the difference between medication and being able to function. The lyrics talks about the struggles people have with mental health medications and how it affects their lives and how they see the world. This song is really deep that catches a very sensitive topic. Kudos to Oliver, his pen game is elite🔥.

And the last on my list which also happens to be the song that ends the album is “Let’s Summon Demons!”. The song talks about summoning demons which is actually a metaphor for confronting one’s inner demons. That crazy twin of you inside you. The part of you that makes u do things you never wanted to, this song asks you to talk to that inner self, settle the score with him and find the best way to deal with your inner demons. It is indeed a very beautiful way to end the album.

Oliver really put everything he’s got into this album. He’s been talking about mental health for the longest possible time because there was a time he was also faced with mental health problems so he uses his music to talk about it and try to help as many people as he can. In his own words “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society”. Make sure to check him out on the links below;
