Well the whole beginning of “Onyx Skies” is beautiful. What’s crazy is how the track starts, those inviting, haunting and curious beats that kick-start the song are awesome. It lures the listener into the song and draws them to the beautiful beats and melodies the song comes with. This song just reflects on the mysterious nature of the track’s theme. The track takes us into the journey of the unknown and how complex it is to find your way out. Like life, sometimes sitting in your comfort zone may hinder your progress, so sometimes make the bold step and explore unknown possibilities that you’re afraid to. It may be the key to your success.
The way those electronic elements blends so well with the other elements, which converges at a point to elevate the track into this danceable and disco vibes or beats, is wholesome. The title of the song defines a journey into the infinite depths symbolized by onyx, and embracing the beauty of the unexplored territories. Wow such creativity. Well, some may think this was an easy birth but nope, according to Kate, there was a struggle to find the best vocals that will complement the song and it just shows how dedicated she is to achieving perfection. Those vocals which she finally assembled really complement the song beautifully; they bring this haunting atmosphere when exploring the unknown, creating a lasting connection with the listener.
It creates this evocative presence that lingers around when you venture into an unknown journey, like the danger that comes with what you will find or the joy that comes with it. This is a beautiful creativity and has got everything you need in a song, the song is more of beautiful sounds and little vocals.
