RED MOUNTAIN REVOLT’S LATEST ALBUM “LIKE A LOADED GUN”: A DIY MASTERPIECE FIRING AN ARRAY OF EMOTIONS

See eh people understand this music thingy and without doubt they become the masters of the game. I don’t know about you but this band Red Mountain Revolt, a dynamic duo from New Jersey has this unique DIY approach to music and man they really understand this sh** wow. The band comprises of Kyle Merritts and Christian Nevi. Now the beautiful aspect of this band is they does it all, from playing instruments to mixing and mastering their craft. Haha now you get why I said people understand this music thingy right, let’s goo. They got their latest album out and Jesus Christ the album is freaking good and beyond words to describe it. Well they titled this one “Like a Loaded Gun,” an album that explores different blends of genres and elements of 90s grunge, hard rock, alternative rock, and garage rock. So get ready for some fireworks. It’s a 12 track album beautifully arranged to keep listeners glued from start to finish. But lemme take you through 3 beautiful tracks briefly and I leave you to milk this album dry hahaha.

The self titled track, “Like a Loaded Gun” is what I looked for first, cos i know if an album has a titled track on it then definitely that track ain’t gonna disappoint and yes indeed it never did. The song really captures the essence of Red Mountain Revolt’s blends of sounds. It’s a track that talks about a fighting spirit, not giving up and holding on till the end. Those noisy and vibrant guitars and drums is what keeps you up your feet and jamming to the song. Man this is a masterpiece and creativity at it peak, the way all elements blends in soo well those clear cut vocals even with those noisy beats is beautiful. Those roaring vocals creates this evoking atmosphere that invites listeners into the rock world of the band.

But in the track “Dysfunctional,” Red Mountain Revolt switches it up and go deep into the complex nature of relationships. The song paints a clear picture of how one accept a toxic relationship and the lyrics portraying a scream for change in those toxic relationship. Whatever you do in this life never be in a toxic relationship, sh** can break you and destroy you before you could realize. You can hear the roar “I’m sick of the old shit, I’m trying to find my change.” It’s a very deep song that kicks your emotions after you’ve lost every bit of you in that relationship. Man the album is crazy and beautiful. I love it and how it gives of this nostalgia vibe and still maintains it modern elements.

Where I leave you to is “Bury Me” another track that explores relationships and the weary nature of it. The intensity within this track is awesome adding extra emotions with those heartfelt lyrics which punches your soul with the refrain ” why don’t you burry me”. We grow weary of the love that was once sweet and nice and now has become bitter, partners don’t want to change neither do they want you to move on either, so why? Soo many whys…its crazy out there and man Red Mountain Revolt’s really cooked this album. Can’t get enough of it, it’s a masterpiece and masterclass. Bravo guys you nailed this one. It’s a lost love, that connection is gone, I don’t feel it anymore but I can’t let go off you either..the emotions within these album is out of this world.

Red Mountain Revolt’s “Like a Loaded Gun” is a multi face album, that hit both side of the coin with it’s distinctive beats of 90s vibe crafted with a modern touch that resonates with every listener.
