Oh or you just like me that enjoys anything music then I’ve got Slatz & The Weight of Silence here who in their own creative way have collaborated to create a metalcore and nu-metal masterpiece in “Snake Eyes.” The beautifully well crafted song speaks of self discovery to the ears and soul of the listener leaving them hooked to the song till the end. With Slatz’s aggressive vocals skillfully alternating with J-Figure’s trap metal screams, the song is one hell of masterpiece worth listening to.
Well Slatz here is a multi-talented artist who combines a lot of genres into one beautiful song that oozes class. He’s a Sydney-based artist known for all of this genre-defying mix of Hardcore, Metalcore, Trap Metal, Hip-Hop, and Alternative Metal, who is actually making great waves in the music scenes. He’s made some great collaborations with popular artists like Tanner Wayne from In Flames, Adam Ramey from The Dropout Kings, and Australian Trap Metal sensation The Weight of Silence. Notably, he is being mentored by the legendary Billy Graziadei from Biohazard, Powerflo, and BillyBio.
Slatz’s refusal to be confined by a single genre is shown in his diverse range of tracks, which span from the raw essence of old-school NYHC to the power and energy of metalcore and the dark depths of trap metal. One thing about Slatz here is his passion for collaboration, this allows him to push beyond his boundaries whiles he experiment different genres. In “Snake Eyes,” Slatz and J-Figure from The Weight of Silence unleash an intense metalcore and nu-metal collaboration. The track, which was released on 13th October, is a track that talks about self-discovery, personal growth and the unrelenting battle against inner demons. The lyrics talks about the struggles and turmoil that everyone faces.
Slatz had been holding onto the song, recognizing its untapped potential. As fate would have it, while en route to a surfing session, he listened to his phone recordings, and the song played. He immediately envisioned J-Figure’s unique style and energy as the missing piece. A quick message to J-Figure, who loved the song, led to a studio session and while those two artists met in the studio this banger was created for us to enjoy with their vocals and lyrics that perfectly complemented the track’s intensity and message. “Snake Eyes” was born out of this creative synergy.
