Now this track really swallow you in its thick, wall-of-sound guitar production and thunderous rhythm section. Recorded at Mind’s Eye Digital Studio in Glendale, Arizona with producer Larry Elyea, I like the fact that the track skips all these glossy pop tricks in favor of raw, unpolished rock grit.
Lead guitarist Fer Lopez kicks off the energy with a heavy, crunchy riff that drives the main groove forward, then Rob Watson’s thick bassline locks in tighter, with Michael Hayes’ pounding drum beats, giving the whole track a heavy, live-in-the-room feel that many tracks in this regards lacks. Sailing over the top of that wall of noise is lead singer Sylvie. Her vocals sound strong, sultry, and full of theatrical power, effortlessly cutting through the heavy instrumentation without getting buried under the distortion. And it’s really lovely, a lot of the time, most vocals gets buried under the heavy distortions, and listeners have to just enjoy the riffs and beats, but in here you get to enjoy both!
