You don’t get many 80s inspired EPs or songs or albums that hits harder like this one I’m bringing yo you guys. This band has to be ma favorite now with this EP titled Truck Stop Dangerous. The band Trick Shooter Social Club, a roots-rock band hailing from the heart of Chicago, comes in hard with this banger of an EP. See this EP has got the sauce, the vibes and energy to capture anyone that listens to it hearts.
Wow it’s crazy out here I just can’t get enough of this EP. It’s freaking good man. It’s a 4 track EP that starts with beautiful, then dives in to track no 2 Clarksdale Serenade#2, then comes in the hard hitting track Elvis Figurines and closing the EP is Lie to Me. But lemme take you on a stroll on two songs you won’t forget;
The EP kicks of with the track “Beautiful.” A song that sets the listener in a mood ready to be captured by the lively riffs if the guitar and the beats for the rest of the album. This song goes by it name, it’s really a beautiful song I must confess. The 80s vibes and those drums, man you can’t sit to enjoy this track without rocking on your dancing shoes. The song talks about life, with its ups and downs. We all searching for happiness and the quest for happiness, there’s ups and downs to find ones place in the world. The lyrics in here with the lines “I’ll be heading home, if I could find ma car keys” hints at a sense of finding ones direction in life even tho the ride to your destination maybe smooth and rough. It’s a solid track that kicks off the EP perfect, the delivery, the drums and guitars with those 80s dance vibes haha, you gonna say I told you so when you listen to this track. It’s a 10/10 for me.
The the song that closes the EP, “Lie to Me”. A song about self- deception and desires that comes with falsehood comforting. The desire to hear sweet lies, comparing love to the sparkle of the 4th of July, adds an extra depth to the song, making it a must listen , I love the sunset vibes in the song, with a touch of country and 80s vibes. Sweet jesus this song has won ma heart. Best song I’ve listened to this whole week. Top favorite this one.
This EP attest to how far TrickShooter Social Club has come. From their debut through to this EP, they are heading to the top and sooner or later they gonna be up there with the best bands in the world.
