“Voices” by Valiancy: A Brave Look Inside the Mind

Not many are able to make music to pierce your soul, speak your heart and let you breath. Well Kyle Harris, who goes by the name Valiancy, has a new track out called “Voices” that is definitely not for a sunny day at the park. Released on January 29, 2026, this song is a heavy dive into the messier parts of the human brain. Valiancy did everything himself, from writing, recording, and producing the whole thing—which is pretty wild considering he went all the way to Venice International Studios to get it done.

The track hits on some very serious topics, specifically the constant fight against negative self-talk and inner demons. It’s an honest, raw look at mental health and the kind of thoughts that keep people up at night. While it sounds like a downer on paper, there is something brave about just putting it all out there.

You can hear a lot of Peter Gabriel and James Blake in the way the music moves. Valiancy used several Moog synthesizers to give the song a thick, buzzing energy that feels both warm and a little unsettling at the same time. The vocals are haunting and stay with you long after the song ends. Even a quote attributed to “Mozart” calls the singing haunting, and honestly, it’s hard to disagree. This isn’t a song with a flashy pop chorus or a happy ending. It’s dark, emotional, and feels like a private conversation with yourself when things are at their worst.

Valiancy has been busy, releasing seventeen works over the last few years, but “Voices” feels like a major statement for him. It’s the kind of music that reminds you that you aren’t the only one dealing with a noisy head. So if you like electronic music that actually has something to say and doesn’t mind getting its hands dirty with real emotions, this one is for you.
