Well well well someone say heaaat, and yes Guild Theory, the dynamic British-based prog-rock duo consisting of Rob Lewis (multi-instrumentation) and Matt Smith (vocals), has shook us with their wavy latest single dubbed “Indignant Swines.” This single comes after the beautiful success to the debut album “Streaks of Light Burn the Sky”,. Oh you missed it?? Haha you’ve got no problem cos you’ve the chance now to experience this new music from them and the album as well, that’s a win win for ya. The band came to being after these two met online, and since then have been polishing their craft and the results? A golden album and wavy new single made for us to enjoy. Even tho both Rob and Matt has some love for bands like Oceansize and Midlake, their individual musical tastes bring diversity to the table, making it a perfect combo. They have already made name for themselves in the industry and thus you should know you’re in for the best treat in your life.
“Indignant Swines” is a preview to their upcoming album. A song that talks about the life of a fictional dictator. The lyrics paints a picture of Self sacrifice and how life goes through the fictional dictator’s family. It’s down tempo beats and those vocals evokes an atmosphere that is unique and felt within, an atmosphere that feel like a sacrifice about to take place, wow. Providing a snippet to what to expect in their upcoming album. No spoilers here so I will just say get yo ass up and go give this song a listen, trust me, the lyrics are deep and really emotional, it wants you to explore and come to your own conclusions, the storyline man it’s f**king lit and I can’t say enough about the delivery and beats. It’s an experience you can’t forget as soon as you press play ▶️. The song captures your heart and gets you hooked till the end.
According to Matt, “We’re really excited to release Indignant Swines. As a slightly more ‘poppy’ tune (than our usual prog style), we’re confident it will open up our music to a wider audience.” The vocals are Soo good and makes it a sing along song, the experience? Unimaginable.
