Kadjavsi Takes You to “Heavensground"

Kadjavsi’s new single, “Heavensground,” hits with a mix of energy and mood that pulls you in immediately. The band, from Bucharest, Romania, has been making waves in alternative rock, and this track shows they are only getting bolder.The song almost didn’t exist. While recording another track, guitarist Lucas Contreras played a riff at the end of the session. Frontman Nikita Dembinski grabbed it, bassist Laura Benedek added a strong line, and just like that, “Heavensground” was born. It’s dark, curious, and feels like a place you shouldn’t explore alone.

Despite its heavy themes, “Heavensground” isn’t scary. It’s more like a mental space where confusion, fear, and hidden thoughts live. Nikita’s vocals guide the listener calmly, as if he’s been there before and can show you around. You can hear influences in the music—The Strokes’ rhythm, Radiohead’s mood, Fontaines D.C.’s energy—but Kadjavsi keeps it all their own. The track feels original and honest, not like a copy of anything else.

The recording took place at Avanpost Studios, one of Europe’s top studios, but the process was simple. Each musician recorded their part individually. No gimmicks, no fancy tricks—just pure, solid playing. “Heavensground” debuted live at Control Club in Bucharest, a venue known for hosting top alt-rock acts. It was the perfect spot to test the song, and it clearly worked. The name “Heavensground” came to Nikita randomly. He even Googled it and found nothing. It’s original, mysterious, and fits the song perfectly.

The track stands out because it turns a feeling into music. It’s dark but not heavy, thoughtful but not confusing, and memorable without trying too hard. It’s the kind of song you play more than once. Kadjavsi has delivered a track full of emotion, skill, and a little bit of accidental magic. If this is how they create songs that almost didn’t exist, we can only imagine what comes next.
