Love, Tension, and Too Much Truth: Switch The MC’s “Smoke & Sex” EP

Switch The MC is back with his new EP “Smoke & Sex”, released on November 7th, 2025. It’s the second part of his ‘Comme Moi’ trilogy, and it feels like the chapter where he finally slows down long enough to look in the mirror. The anger and tension from the first project aren’t gone, but they’ve moved to the side so he can actually talk about love, closeness, and the kind of situationships that make you swear you’re done… and then come right back anyway.

The production comes from Nigerian and Beninese beatmakers, which gives the whole project a steady, warm bounce. Nothing overcomplicated. Just rhythms that sneak into your body before your brain even decides what’s happening. Switch blends this with his usual French-English mix, something he’s mastered from growing up between France and the UK. It doesn’t sound like he’s switching languages—more like he’s switching moods.

This EP is more open than the first chapter of the trilogy. He isn’t yelling at the world; he’s almost whispering at someone he probably shouldn’t be texting at 2 a.m. There’s a lot of vulnerability here, but he never loses that sharp edge in his voice. It’s the classic “I’m fine,” said by someone who is very much not fine. With ‘Stretch’ and ‘Time To Me’ already scheduled for 2025, you can tell he’s building something with intention. This feels like the middle plot twist, the part where the story deepens and you realize the main character actually has feelings he tried very hard to hide. Man, if you listen to this EP, you realize the way he flows effortlessly on those punching beats, the way he coins his words, the emotions and the sensualities in tracks makes it a top pick for me. You get hooked from track to the end.

Kicking the EP is the track ‘6AM’; A slow burner that sounds like someone staring at their phone, deciding whether to send a risky message. Note: perfect song if you’re too awake to sleep but too tired to make good decisions. ‘Stretch’; Whats more beautiful than a booty with some few stretch marks on it? This track teases that theme. It’s playful, a little teasing, and feels like someone pulling you in just to let go again. The beats in here are Soo crisp and just gets you glued and consumed. Those hip-hop beat drops are magical. Then those repeating lines “heads to your toes, girl lemme see you stretch” brings in those sensual arousal moments someone admires the body of their partner. Man this song just does it for me. ‘Smoke and Sex‘; The title track goes straight to the point. No pretending. It’s smooth, confident, and a little messy (in a good way). The kinda song you wanna bang it around when it’s all sweaty and romantic in the room, but definitely not a song you want playing if your parents walk in.

‘Twosome’; This one leans into the tension between romance and chaos. It’s fun, bold, and Switch sounds like he’s smiling through half the lines, probably responsible for at least a few bad decisions worldwide. ‘Time to me’; A calmer moment. Feels like he’s trying to breathe and regroup. A small pause before everything gets loud again. Note: great for pretending you’re deep while staring out of a bus window. ‘Betty’ ;A tribute track that feels both nostalgic and warm. There’s affection here, and maybe a little confusion, but that’s normal for Switch. A little of beef here and there, and this song is too perfect for teasing a dude who you have a grudge with over women. Especially if you snatched that babe from em! You get to feel that real gangsta rap in here and all that entails to be on the streets!

Smoke & Sex” shows Switch The MC opening up in a way that feels natural, not forced. The Afrobeat influence keeps the EP moving, while his bilingual flow ties France, the UK, and Benin together like it’s the easiest thing in the world. The project is simple, personal, and full of moments where you feel like he’s letting you read a page from his private notes. And if this is the “soft chapter” of the trilogy, the last two parts might be even more revealing.
