Mark Andrew Hansen and Jes Hudak Deliver Pure Joy on “Love Enough”
Remember back in 2020 when we were all stuck inside our houses, talking to our indoor plants, scrubbing our groceries with disinfectant wipes, and forgetting what other human beings looked like in person? It was a wild, lonely time. Most of us just binge-watched reality television, but an incredibly talented Australian pianist and composer named Mark Andrew Hansen decided to use that bizarre isolation to build a massive bridge across the ocean.

Working from his home studio on Sydney’s gorgeous Northern Beaches, Mark teamed up via email with a phenomenal American singer named Jes Hudak, who was sitting in her own studio all the way over in the United States. Together, they cooked up a truly beautiful, uplifting single called “Love Enough.”
If you have not heard of Mark Andrew Hansen yet, your ears are seriously missing out. The guy is an absolute powerhouse who has racked up over 100 million streams across Spotify and YouTube. He can play everything from the guitar and bass to the mandolin and ukulele, drawing inspiration from legends like Chopin, Billy Joel, and Elton John. For this specific track, Mark wanted to create a big, driving piano riff inspired by the classic bounce of Vanessa Carlton’s hit “A Thousand Miles.”
What makes this recording process so incredibly refreshing is that Mark and Jes completely banned auto-tune and heavy computer compression from the session. They wanted to preserve the raw, natural essence of a real human performance. It sounds like two brilliant musicians playing right in your living room, which is a rare treat these days.
Now the track kicks off with an exquisite, bouncy piano arrangement. Mark worked tirelessly on this backing track to ensure it was absolutely beautiful without ever acting greedy or overpowering Jes’s stunning vocals. The song opens with a killer, poignant line: “It’s a long time since I’ve seen another face like another me.” It is a line that instantly transports you right back to the heavy, isolated days of pandemic lockdowns.
But instead of staying in a sad, gloomy funk, the music quickly blossoms into a bright, optimistic vision of the future. As Jes hits those big, emotional vocal notes and stacks up some gorgeous self-recorded harmonies, the song turns into a joyful celebration of reunited lovers finally sharing life together again.
The core message of “Love Enough” is a beautiful reminder of something we all learned the hard way during the pandemic: genuine human connection and love are the most important things we have. Mark has written a lot of sad, moody songs throughout his long career, but he openly admits that it is impossible to beat a happy love song. In fact, he loves Jes’s vocal delivery so much that he sometimes completely forgets he was the one who wrote the track in the first place.
It is a short, simple, and wonderfully genuine pop anthem that avoids all the fake, robotic editing of mainstream radio hits to deliver a ton of pure, unfiltered heart that will leave you wanting for more. See I don’t need to tell you what to do, but this song right here deserves the top spot on your playlists.
