NBP Human – “All My Mind Is on You”: When You Realize What You’ve Lost
At a moment in everyone’s life there comes the time where you sit down, think through things and realize maybe the person you thought was a bad fit for you in your life was actually not at all. When it comes to relationships, you get that moments a lot, waking up in the middle of the night, staring quietly at the ceiling, and realizing your ex was actually the best thing that ever happened to you is a feeling that will have you wetting your pillow. Yeah it happens to us all, and Balazs Janky caught that late-night panic in 5 minutes and a few seconds.

The Budapest-based mind behind NBP Human introduces us to his fresh drop titled “All my mind is on you.” One thing I can say is, if you actually missed his last few tracks, worry not. For this one is gonna make up for it. This project started pulling rock guitar riffs back from the garage and giving them a beating heart, making every listener love something new. On this record, NBP Human teams up with sound engineer Zsolt Gyulai to handle the dials, and I can see why, because the result is anything but clean corporate audio.
Lets get a bit into the production and vibe the song brings. Just as you hit play, you’re met with an opening chord, where raw guitar works that feels dusty and lived-in surrounds you rather than polished to death kinda vibe. I love how the drums hit with a natural room reverb, giving this feel of being right there in the studio with the artist as they make the music. Guitars weave in and out with a steady, driving rhythm that pushes the narrative forward without making any weird workarounds. It’s lovely, too juicy and soothing to listen to, it breathes, making every drum strike and string bring out this sweat and grit attitude, reminding you of that human touch all over the music.
All that the song is about is hindsight. NBP Human wrote this piece sitting right on the fence between old memories and wishful thinking. Sometimes the relationship is past, but the memories just don’t go away because anytime you close your eyes, you see them clearly as if they are standing right in front of you. They may be gone, but their presence is felt, and we wish they can make us feel loved again. But then can we blame them? When we all miss clues because we are too busy rushing through the day. But one thing is love rarely misses its train, we just take too long checking our watches on the platform. In our digital world now, we’ve prioritized screen times over actual human connections and even human creativity. But with time we will get back here again.
It’s a song that tackles that quiet painful moments you experiencing now because you failed a lot of times to connect the pieces sometime back. Now they no more, and that’s when we realize what we’ve lost, the pain of thinking about them, the pain of returning home to meet an empty house, no one to hug you, no one to say welcome. It’s just you and the memories they left behind. Sometimes we even call them to tell them everything we feeling, but maybe they don’t even know the pain we going through, they don’t feel what burns in our veins, soul and brain. We took it for granted and now our mind is on them all the time! At the end of the day, human emotions will always top it all and we will connect again.
Now that’s a beautiful track, after first listen, it sticks, and you wanna play it again, and it begins to consume you and you fall in love with it. This is a track that deserves a spot on your daily drive, because a lot of radio pop sounds identical right now, packed with algorithms trying to guess what makes you tap your foot. But this track right here ignores all of that. It feels messy, honest, and painfully real. When the world is drowning in synthetic beats, this one feels like taking a deep breath of cold air. So go ahead, stream “All my mind is on you” and see where your own past memories take you!
