Stephen Webber – “Here We Go” Says It’s Time to Put Down the Phone/Computer

Back then we all wish we had this digital world we having, but now it seems like it’s eating us up and getting our lives boring. Lemme ask you this, have you ever looked down at your daily screen time report, seen six hours listed next to your video calls, and felt a sudden desire to throw your computer or phone out the window? If you look at it, we spent years staring at tiny rectangular boxes on a display, wearing a nice shirt on top while secretly wearing pajama bottoms underneath. Well I think it’s about time we change something, so Emmy-winning composer and producer Stephen Webber explores that work-from-home burnout with his single, “Here We Go“, featuring powerhouse vocalist Zahara.

Now this track is a high-energy acoustic jam that urges us to close our laptops, put on real pants, and go hang out with actual human beings again. Too much digital lives is ruining actual human connection and making our lives a bit boring. From the moment the song starts, “Here We Go” embraces you with a fast, foot-tapping acoustic beat that refuses to sit still. It production is centered around Webber’s driving ukulele strums, giving the track a bright, breezy foundation. One thing I find interesting here is how he doesn’t rely on heavy digital synths or computer-generated loops, the song explodes with real string instruments played by top-tier musicians and it’s really fascinating.

You get these blistering fiddle lines from Casey Driessen trading fast-paced solos with Andy Hall’s slick dobro riffs, creating a runaway-train momentum that feels like a backyard party. Nashville drummer Caleb Gilbreth holds down a crisp, driving beat that bridges traditional country picking with a modern dance rhythm. To top it all off, vocalist Zahara enters near the end with a soulful, soaring vocal performance that lifts the entire track into a joyful celebration. Man it feels Soo good, it gives you this get together kinda vibe or family reunion kinda of party in the backyard that we need these days. We are too focused on work and eating most of our time, we don’t spend time with the family no more, we don’t even go to our friends again, even our relationships are a mess cos it’s all digital digital digital.

I really like “Here We Go“, and how it takes a funny, lighthearted look at post-pandemic life and social fatigue. The lyrics make fun of our lingering habits with lines about Zooming commando in just a shirt or a blouse. But behind the humor, the song carries an important message about face-to-face connection. It admits that while the world can feel overwhelming and impossible to fix all at once, getting together in person still brings real joy.

The song serves as an inclusive reminder to love everyone around us and enjoy the magic of sharing a laugh in the same room. It turns our shared screen burnout into a positive call to step outside and reconnect. Stephen Webber delivers a clever, incredibly fun track that pairs elite musicianship with relatable humor. It’s cheerful, catchy, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face after a long workday. If you need a quick break from your phone and a reason to step outside today, give this song one a listen.
