The festive holidays was filled with beautiful tracks and melodies that made it Soo special, nice and enjoyable. But I’m not sure you were able to cover every song that was released and that’s why I bring to you today, two West Palm Beach artists who has released a stunning festive season EP which redefined holiday music. Super Saiyan Jay and King Dev titled this one GC Present An Unplanned Christmas. Now what they did was, creating a uniquely distinct EP yet carries the holiday vibes. The EP which was recorded in a Palm Beach-based studio, where all the magic happened under the guidance of engineer Oscar, stands out as an embodiment of creativity and tells you how talented and dedicated Super Saiyan Jay and King Dev are to their craft. Well not only did they do justice to the EP but also demonstrated how their unique style blended so well and brought fresh vibes into the traditional sounds of the season.
Now the EP, which features two standout tracks, “Deck The Halls” and “Wish List,” brings a variety of experience to listeners. Sparking the EP to life is the first track “Deck The Halls”. This song just starts off with this piano bell like tone, then takes a sweet turn into this infused hip-hop beats blended with those Christmas jingles hahah. Wow, that’s some creativity right there. Then the rap just sits on the beats and move with it while keeping the flow intact. Amazing, it’s a really a catchy song that sets the tone for an energetic celebration, while it urges listeners to immerse themselves in a festive party atmosphere.
The last track that kisses the EP to a goodbye is “Wish List”. Now this song just kicks off with vocals and a sweet hip-hop beats that delves deeper into the sentimental side of the holidays. The song lay emphasis on how we need to adore and cherish our love ones. You can hear the artist asking the loved one to bring her wishlist so he can fulfill her needs, hinting at how we need to appreciate our loved ones and make them feel special in our everyday life and during such occasions. What I love about this song is also how it blends those hip-hop beats with traditional Christmas jingles. They really killed this EP haha, and trust me the EP doesn’t just come as a holiday song but those lyrics and vibe happens in our everyday life and I love it. The song’s have catchy hooks that everyone can sing along and jam to it. The rap, flows and deliveries are top notch, creating an atmosphere that resonates with the listener while enjoying some good vibes.
We all may be curious as to why this EP was created. Well here’s the catch. The EP was birthed with a motive to create something out of a new nich within the holiday music genre, and I must say they achieved it and nailed it perfectly. Because the songs indeed got this unique style that are special and fresh and that makes it a EP not only for the holidays but a lifetime. The lyrics along with those vibrant mix of modern flair and classic holiday cheer makes it a must-listen masterpiece.
