OpCritical Calls Out Corruption on Explosive New Rock Anthem “Liar Liar”
I don’t know about you but these days it’s like the news or social media is fed with fake stuffs and lies. You know like you open up your social media feed, scroll through the news, and your blood just begins to boil. Cos we see the same story every single day. Some billionaire or politician stands up on a stage, tells a massive lie with a straight face, and gets even richer while the rest of us are left trying to pay for regular groceries. It’s completely exhausting and annoying.
So I understand if you’re completely sick of the greed and want to join a fight back. Well look no further cos I’ve got a song that actually fights back, so all you gotta do is, turn the volume up and blast it loud let everyone hear it. Well the anonymous band called OpCritical has just dropped a brand-new rock anthem titled “Liar Liar“, and it’s the ultimate wake-up call that world needs right now. If you know them, you’d know they’ve been doing it throughout the year and I must say they are rocking it and really reaching heights.
To those who are new to them, OpCritical is a brand-new project that formed earlier this year. Nobody knows who the actual members are, and honestly, they do not care about being famous. They keep their identities totally hidden because they want the entire focus to be on their message. They built this project to stand up for regular values like basic decency, honesty, tolerance, and the rule of law. And they have made a promise to keep dropping music and videos for as long as it takes until things change. Even though they just started, they are already getting millions of views on YouTube and heavy radio plays around the world.
Now this track “Liar Liar” is a fast, high-energy punk and rock song. I love how it hits you with aggressive guitars and a driving rhythm that makes you want to get up off the couch immediately. It’s loud, it’s angry, and it’s designed to get your adrenaline pumping. The track is a massive, unfiltered attack on the autocrats, plutocrats, and kleptocrats who rule the world. In normal person terms: it is a giant middle finger to the greedy oligarchs who trick people to get into power, and then use that power to hurt the very citizens who trusted them. They don’t care about how you feel again so far as they in power, they wanna get their bellies fat and drink the beat wines in the world and count their money, whatever happens to you never bothers them.
When listen to the track, you’d see how the lyrics are incredibly catchy but dark. The main chorus screams, “Liar Liar world’s on fire, everywhere’s a funeral pyre, Liar Liar world’s on fire, you’re gonna get what you desire.” This refrain comes in as a double entendre, on one hand, it’s a warning about karma. It tells these greedy leaders that history always repeats itself. Throughout time, whenever powerful people push citizens too far, the people eventually get fed up and take to the streets to hold them accountable. On the other hand, the song is meant to light a fire under the rest of us. It pushes regular people to stop being lazy, stop ignoring the news, and start engaging in peaceful protest and civic action.
The band released a really clever music video alongside the song that uses LEGO characters to drive the point home. It shows these plastic little billionaires building up their empires, only to completely fall apart from community pressure. It’s a funny, visual reminder that even the most powerful people are fragile when regular citizens stand together.
